Who else started watching this on Channel 5 last night?

It’s on again tonight and tomorrow, I think.

I have the book on order from the library, ready to collect.

Hope I can get it read before it finishes on tv, think there are 6 episodes.

Binge watched it all yesterday, we started watching and just ended up watching it all

It's very watchable. There's a few things that just wouldn't happen in the real world but all in all , very good.

I agree flowers

I never watch anything until all the episodes are available, because I don't want to wait a week for each episode, although sometimes I know it's one episode a day.

Whole series is on paramount, if you have this service.

Over the years I’ve watched sometimes where the child did it and the parent is willing to take the blame. Would people do that in real life?

Yes, I think a lot of parents would. That’s an interesting question. Would I? I’m not sure, it would depend on whether it was accidental or deliberate.

I binged watched all 6 episodes.

I really enjoyed it and won’t spoil it, but it does highlight some interesting issues.

On the whole a pretty good drama.

Dont we get enough of this in real life, how about something that makes us happy instead of all this doom and gloom

Bit confused with it. But I agree I think one of the sons seems unhinged. I will keep going with it.

It seems possible one of the young sons could have hurt the baby, not sure why they haven't considered that.

That’s a thought I had, the older child seems to have a bit of a temper.

Calendargirl, totally agree about the unlikeable characters.

Sorry ladies, it was streaming on Amazon Prime and Paramount

Little Disasters is available on Amazon Prime as a free 7 day trial of Paramount+.
That then auto-renews at £4.99 a month.
Just so you're aware.

Well, we’ll just have to wait until next week then.

None of the characters are at all likeable, are they?

Good to see the policeman has had a transfer from Jersey, obviously giving Jim Bergerac a break.

Chanel 5 streaming app, Jane 43

I can assure you it's there!

Oregano Tue 16-Jun-26 22:59:45

I've also only managed to watch three episodes!

Calendargirl Tue 16-Jun-26 16:14:47

I wondered that also Jane43.

Greenfinch Mon 15-Jun-26 08:53:08

I saw the first episode and found it watchable but not particularly gripping. I will probably tune in again tonight and see how it progresses.

I didn't know it was on, thanks for the heads up, I read the book. Coincidentally, I'm reading Sarah Vaughan's latest at the moment.

Allsorts Mon 15-Jun-26 07:53:47

I have started a lot if these dramas and watched them through but not been particularly gripped by many. I have given up on The Hardacres I think a mistake to continue with it.
Will give Little Disasters a go but wait until I can watch the lost. Been watching Death Valley on BBC1 which is on at same time.

Chocolatelovinggran Mon 15-Jun-26 07:45:39

I enjoyed the book. I have enjoyed all of Sarah Vaughan's writing.
