Any ideas on a good TV series to watch?

I've thought of another one. The Serpent on BBC iPlayer. It's a true story about a serial killer in the 70s who kills young travellers in Thailand. It's chilling but compelling, with Jenna Coleman as his girlfriend/accomplice. I might rewatch it, now I've remembered about it.

Nicola Walker was in four excellent episodes of Series 3 of Scott and Bailey. It was a longer-running storyline than usual, loosely based on the West case. It's on ITVX but showing as Premium so only available to subscribers.

This is always going to be a good thread.
I know it's not new but I, for one, need some new ideas please...

Other shows I’ve liked are The Chelsea Detective, Miss Scarlet and the Duke, The Marlow Murder Club and Recipes for love and murder.

Bosch and Bosch Legacy on Amazon.

Bodies. Not the crime one but set in hospital.

I presume we've all watched Spiral but we could look again. A favourite.

The Fall with Gillian Anderson and Jamie Dornan.Set in Northern Ireland.
Very suspenseful. Watch on Netflix and maybe BBC catch up

Currently enjoying A Thousand Blows on Disney. By the makers of Peaky Blinders so pretty violent. Still not as good as Renegade Nell which for some reason didn’t get a second series. I always listen to Must Watch on BBC Sounds because their tv recommendations are usually spot on.

The last three are quite violent but has a good cast and some strong female characters.

1883 was excellent, if a little gory. A prequel to Yellowstone , I believe Netflix ?

It’s been out a while but I watched it all again because it’s side splittingly funny.

Crime is brilliant if your Scottish

I’m not Scottish and I loved Crime.

I just finished American Primeval on Netflix, it is very graphic and violent but a very good story. A woman is trying to travel west to meet her husband and is accompanied by her son. She has to pay guides to accompany her and the journey is very perilous.

I binge watched it when I was staying at my daughters recently. I was absolutely gripped by it. Reminded me of The Revenant which I also loved. The Last of the Mohicans was on tv the other night. I bought the dvd after seeing it at the cinema but have never put it on. However, whenever it’s on tv I find myself gripped by it and have to watch it. Often chat to people on Facebook about it because so many people rave about one certain stand out scene. The music is superb, too, as is the acting.

I’ve just started Your Friends and Neighbours series - first episode a bit slow but I’m intrigued to see how it ends.

Feud is another which has hooked me, I may binge that this weekend if the weather doesn’t improve!

Mob Land with Pierce Brosnan, Helen Mirren and Tom Hardy in Paramount is a must. Quite violent and bad language, but a really good gritty watch.

I'm re watching Mad Men. It's about the advertising industry in the 1960s. So much smoking and drinking - hard to believe these days. Good characters and storylines

I've just finished watching the 2 series of Black Snow on BBC I Player.
Both set in Australia, worth watching.

A good thing about A Thousand Blows is that it doesn’t have any steamy sex scenes in it ( as have been watching it with the family this week and thinking it was going to be Peaky Blinder’ish! )
