Hi all

I recently had a hysterectomy and so I am recuperating and looking for a really good TV series to watch. I loved watching Last Tango in Halifax, The Split, Happy Valley, Call the Midwife and currently watching The Flood when its on. I love anything with Sarah Lancashire and Nicola Walker in. Any ideas?? Thank you for reading.

Although nothing like what you seem to watch I can highly recommend 'Ted Lasso'. I'm not a big tv series watcher and definitely can't stand ' soaps'. However, Ted Lasso will make you laugh, cry, love & dislike & love again. It's a lesson in life that we could all do with learning in one way or another, everydays a school day. Theres a couple of downsides, it's on appletv but we joined as a trial then cancelled. Its also 3 series with 12 episodes each. It's based in the UK & you don't have to like football as it's the sentiment moreso. Well I loved it anyway. 😍

Another shout out for The Heart Guy - great series. Also loved 800 Words but not sure where you could find it. I enjoy Granchester ( bit of a Robson Greene fan!) . Best wishes for a speedy recovery.

Not a series but a film available for another 13 days on BBC Iplayer - Edie, staring Sheila Hancock.

As Seabreeze has mentioned Keeping Faith, also BBC Iplayer is excellent. Wishing you a speedy recuperation.

Ahhh.. forgot the A Word, still available on BBC IPlayer of which there are three series. Great characters, great acting and great Lake District scenery.

White Lotus was the best series from last year, I think it’s on Prime and maybe some other platforms.

Nothing to add to the suggestions already made Purplepixie but wanted to wish you a speedy recovery flowers.

Currently watching Time on BBC iPlayer. A bit brutal but excellent drama.

The Mafia only Kill in Summer
One of our all-time favourites.

It's on Walter Presents/4
It has subtitles but is still amazing.

The one with Lindsay Duncan and Peter Egan , about bumping each other off when they are terminally ill . Sorry can’t think of the title

Just finished watching 'And Then There Were None' on iPlayer. A three part mini series with Charles Dance as one of the characters. Based on the book by Agatha Christie.

Good to know 'Puzzle', and he (Mark Williams) is still playing great snooker.

If you can find it now, I loved the Sherlock series with Benedict Cumberbatch and Martin Freeman.

Thank you to everyone for your choices. I am writing a list out and have a look at them this afternoon. Heavy rain here and snow on the way. Each day I am getting better and stronger and thank you for your kind words. 3 weeks on monday since the hysterectomy and 3 weeks after that and I will be able to drive! Yahoo!
