Disturbing ad breaks AIBU

Gosh I've never seen one of those. Just boring ones about fast food or unlikely families marvelling over laundry.

I know exactly what you mean, we have one that pops up from the RSPCA before our local news at 6 pm. It's so horrifying for an animal lover like myself. I know cruelty to animals goes on but I don't want graphic pictures. Also the donkey ones are truly awful.

What about the ones that come on early afternoon, for vaginal dryness, and having a shave on your private parts? Do we really need these adverts when young children could be around? They make me totally cringe...

B P I hate these adds, and who needs to be shown how to put a panty liner on. or the gush moment

It reduces me to tears every time it comes on.
I'm not sure how i feel about whether we should see them, though.

I use turn the sound down, some of the RSPCA ones are ancient.
Bridget they’d wash over most children unless you leap for the remote drawing attention to them. If they do ask questions, it’s a good opportunity to answer honestly as with any other questions about bodily functions.

the shock is what makes you donate and some charities are running on empty at the moment and really need the donations, the money from these adverts is also keeping the channel running, i usually nip into the kitchen during ad breaks and do something or nip to the loo, turn the sound down and don't look, nobody is forcing you to look and listen but someone with a cat on there knee or a dog sleeping at there feet might just think...well it is only £2 a month and sign up. if that is all you have to worry about then you are lucky.

Ditto and the ones showing the blood on the pad, totally unnecessary IMO. If they are really trying to show that bodily functions should be openly discussed etc I can think of a a few that could be done that affect everyone and some that affect just men, after all we are always told men do not talk like women do!
What you have described specki4eyes does sound very sad and scary! I am of the opinion that it shows that the tech companies with their billions of dollar in profits are not at all as invested as they should be to help make their developments safe for their users.
