Did anyone see the first episode of this last night? I had my misgivings about another series, thinking, what was there new to see or say, but I was completely blown away by it. The photography - especially the opening shots with the dolphins - was astonishingly beautiful, and I am always amazed by the expertise of these camera people and the lengths they go to to bring us such wonderful footage.

Did anyone get claustrophobic/panic attack'y watching them go down in that submarine thingy ? [especially when it developed a leak shock!]...

I liked the weird fish whose eyes sat in his see through head mimicking the two pilots of the submersible!

Those cannibalistic squid!

Just watched the one with the octopus; octopus and cuttlefish are two of my most favourite creatures in the world.

The things that had ten arms and ate the star fish eggs? They were so weird! My Dh says his dislike of swimming in the sea has only been confirmed by the Blue Planet. grin

I can't remember what they were, but they reminded me of me eating a box of chocolates.

Oh, bobbits were a few weeks ago. The ones last night were like something a cartoonist would invent!

When I watched the 'making of' part of the programme it was so upsetting to see the film maker talk about the attack on the octopus that he had been following/filming for ages. I actually saw that bit before the whole programme so wasn't sure of the outcome shock.

My tv/Skybox wasn't working properly and hadn't recorded it properly so I missed some bits but I did catch that bit. It was a heart-in-mouth moment, wasn't it!

I think I need to some sea otters. I'll devote my bathroom to them. grin

I remember the late sad and much missed John Peel going on about sea otters. Aren't they adorable.
