Watched the second episode last night and am enjoying it. Was annoyed when it ended so that's a good sign. I can see why people like to sit and watch a whole series.
Not looking good for the lawyer.....

another excellent series, love the way the writers intertwine the suspects, leaves us guessing all the way through.

Jane10 Fri 13-Jan-17 09:10:04

Ooh good. I've recorder it so I can watch it all at once! It sounds like a marathon session will be worth looking forward to.

Just want to chuck this in. Are we sure the man in the suitcase is the missing husband?

chelseababy Fri 13-Jan-17 10:27:56

Think they were going to do DNA check of body and the son to confirm ID.

rosesarered Fri 13-Jan-17 10:28:56

Looks like another good series.

Luckygirl Fri 13-Jan-17 10:40:41

I did not see the first series - I will try and catch up on it.

I am enjoying this programme - what I like best is that everyone is just getting on with the job in hand - there are no quick-fire clever-clever remarks and antagonism between the members of the team. No contrived drama. It is good.

And Nicola Walker smiles! A bit! Thought she'd lost her smile in Halifax!

Christinefrance Fri 13-Jan-17 11:51:52

It is a good programme, I like the fact that it's more understated than some similar police series. I liked the way the suspects fitted into the story, looking forward to next week.

Kittye Fri 13-Jan-17 11:55:06

Really enjoying it. Yes Nicola Walker smiling, much more attractive than her drab character in Halifax ?

janeainsworth Fri 13-Jan-17 13:02:49

Is this the one where in the first series Tom Courtney ended up as the villain or have I got completely confused?

gulligranny Fri 13-Jan-17 14:36:04

I think this is excellent, don't want the episodes to end. We've thought about recording the whole lot and bingeing, but the last time we did that (the first series of The Missing) we couldn't stop at a couple of episodes, so ended up like zombies.

It's very cleverly setting out all the options for all the people that might have done it. Victim is emerging as not all he should have been ... great stuff.

I'd stopped watching programmes like this but am hooked again. Little else worth watching and so much good acting. I think I'm going for a triple with 'Silent Witness' and 'No Offence' which was by far the most upsetting.

Nichola Walker seems to be in so many things at the moment, but she is a very good actor, she and Sunni ( Sunny?) make a good team. All the strands are coming together now.

Thank you so much chelseababy for starting this thread I had somehow missed this starting and am now watching on my iPad
Loved the first series and now getting into this one I can't imagine how I missed it but thanks

Alima Mon 16-Jan-17 09:54:33

Really enjoying this programme. I must reconsider my judgement that anything done by ITV is usually awful!

POGS Mon 16-Jan-17 11:36:12

Yep, another liker here too, as with 'No Offence'.

So many good police/detective series having women in the driving seat over the past few years.

BlueBelle Fri 20-Jan-17 05:36:56

Well night was a bit of a cliff hanger I didn't see that coming did you?

BlueBelle Fri 20-Jan-17 05:37:28

To night sorry not night

chelseababy Fri 20-Jan-17 07:44:57

Another episode that ended too soon! I was only going to watch till the first advert break and then watch the rest tomorrow (today now) but I just couldn't resist watching the next bit....and the next...till I watched it all. Wonder how the three that met at the end are all involved?

paddyann Fri 20-Jan-17 08:10:10

Alima so you weren't a Downton fan? ITV does brilliant drama

Christinefrance Fri 20-Jan-17 08:42:31

I didn't see that coming either, this series is really good and I like the the side stories going on with the two police officers.

Jane10 Mon 30-Jan-17 16:33:39

Oh no! I specially recorded it to watch in 2 hour chunks but I've found I just don't like it. I don't care about any of the characters. Endeavour works for me because you really like him and the others.
I've set my YouView box to delete Unforgotten. Sorry.

BlueBelle Fri 03-Feb-17 06:49:07

Getting deep now my goodness so many names and plots to follow I m really enjoying it but blimey it keeps you on your toes

Christinefrance Fri 03-Feb-17 08:43:12

Yes it's so interesting now, love the way the characters have developed. All the characters not just the main ones have an interesting side story. What does Sunny have in that back pack and will all our questions be answered next week.? smile
