If you are watching Missing what do you think of it . it's complicated isn't it? stories within stories and changing countries and changing years I m really having to keep on my toes to follow it I am enjoying it though One criticism is I wish the wife and girlfriend looked less alike I have to keep translate which is which it is getting better now I m more familiar with the story line but the first couple of episodes foxed me

I too can see the attraction of Baptise it's the quiet, calm way he is in charge you would feel safe with him I like his accent too

Alima Thu 10-Nov-16 05:39:52

I am going to have to watch last night's episode again. Trying so hard to stay awake but the last twenty minutes or so were a bit of a blur except for That ending! Never suspected the nice army chappie and that poor young policeman.

BlueBelle Thu 10-Nov-16 06:19:44

Could the little girl be the baby Alice (Sophie) lost and is mummy still in the basement?
I too kept finding myself losing concentration through tiredness so need to watch again Who was the chap the policeman visited I didn't recognise him?

Alima Thu 10-Nov-16 06:29:12

Do you mean at the very end BB? Only seen him in army fatigues before now, think he is some sort of liaison officer. Remember it was him told the parents that the press had wind of Matthew locking his sister (?) in the shed.

Nana3 Thu 10-Nov-16 06:41:13

Talk about shock, it's taken a different turn now. Too horrible.

BlueBelle Thu 10-Nov-16 06:41:48

Ahhh yes it's fitting in now I didn't recognise the face without the beret on I m sure as I get older I m going face blind thanks Alina I m with it now

Alima Thu 10-Nov-16 06:45:17

I only knew that because I like the actor BB. Sure he was the partner/ex husband in Frankie and the first series of Happy Valley.

gettingonabit Thu 10-Nov-16 08:07:26

alima thanks! I was wondering if that was Happy Valley ex-husband too.

I'm glad the issue of the baby is solved. For now, at least. The rest of it....still struggling.

Who killed Henry Reed then?

gillybob Thu 10-Nov-16 08:22:55

Brilliant episode last night . I (think) I totally got it, for once. Shocked about the young policeman! Sophie is the girl in the forest in Switzerland and the little girl in the house is her daughter. yes? hmm

I always suspected that horrible army brigadier or whatever he is . He gave it away in the first episode . Sam has obviously fathered a couple of children at the same time hats why the DNA came back as a match to him. Still can't understand why they didn't match the mums .

You're not the only one who has the hots for Batiste . DH driving me mad asking loads of questions and he actually thinks that Batiste with hair and batiste with shaved head are two different people. Grrrrrrrr

gillybob Thu 10-Nov-16 08:24:12

Sorry that last paragraph was for gettingonabit smile

Greyduster Thu 10-Nov-16 08:51:52

As soon as the brigadier mentioned a third man involved in the murder in Iraq, I suspected it might be the press officer or it had to be Sam, as there wasn't anyone else. I think the press officer killed Henry Reed as well. There were a few too many time jumps for me in last night's episode, but it becoming very engrossing. Keely Hawes goes from strength to strength. I thought the ending was horrible.

gettingonabit Thu 10-Nov-16 12:12:01

The ending was horrible and totally unexpected. shock.

Keely Hawes is brilliant in this. I did actually wonder about Drill Man being involved in some way-only because he's a well-known actor and I thought he may take a bigger part at some point.

Still completely confused about the campervan, Alice/Sophie, the Brig, Henry, etc.

Hope Baptiste doesn't diesad.

gillybob Thu 10-Nov-16 12:46:46

Batiste won't die gettingonabit or there would be no more missing!

I think his wife will persuade him to have the operation and it will save his life.

hands off he's mine

gillybob Thu 10-Nov-16 12:49:56

Why do I always call him after a dry shampoo? confused

Sorry it should be Baptiste.

Eloethan Thu 10-Nov-16 20:30:19

This story gets deeper and darker by the minute - horribly compelling.

Is there going to be another series of "Missing"? I hope so.

rosesarered Thu 10-Nov-16 20:31:30

Blimey...that poor German policeman! I could hardly watch.

Jalima Thu 10-Nov-16 20:51:44

I thought Drill Man was very nice up until then
Although he did always have a smile even when things were tough for everyone else.

What else have I seen him in? I don't remember him in Happy Valley

The campervan is confusing me too, surely it was in the woods in Germany not long ago or was that in 2014?

SPOILER ALERT!

Who is the father of the Redcap's child? Could it be her own dad?
Well that mystery got solved this week trisher, although was it hers and BIL's or her sister's and BIL's?

Jalima Thu 10-Nov-16 20:55:15

I didn't see the first series, hoe this one ends satisfactorily and doesn't leave things unfinished

Jalima Thu 10-Nov-16 20:55:24

hope ??

Alima Thu 10-Nov-16 21:18:51

Jalima, in the first series of H V he played Catherine's ex husband. They split because he could not bring himself to accept his raped daughter's child as his grandson and Catherine went on to raise him.

NanKate Thu 10-Nov-16 21:28:36

Best series on the tv at present IMO.

granjura Thu 10-Nov-16 21:45:54

Totally compelling- we've been glued to it- and guessed it would not end well. Never seen a murder quite like that, and brain fluid instead of blood. Could hardly watch.

Yes- what next?

merlotgran Thu 10-Nov-16 22:19:35

Just keep your eyes peeled for that campervan in the forest, granjura. You may solve the mystery for us. grin

granjura Thu 10-Nov-16 22:28:24

Oh wow, blimey - will never sleep tonight- with the woods right behind our house ...

granjura Thu 10-Nov-16 22:29:34

I live near the French border - not the German one - pheeeew.
