I'll ask DH what colour eyes the DC have.
Could be interesting
Good Morning Sunday 5th July 2026
What did you you think you would have by your current age that you don't?
If you are watching Missing what do you think of it . it's complicated isn't it? stories within stories and changing countries and changing years I m really having to keep on my toes to follow it I am enjoying it though One criticism is I wish the wife and girlfriend looked less alike I have to keep translate which is which it is getting better now I m more familiar with the story line but the first couple of episodes foxed me
I'll ask DH what colour eyes the DC have.
Could be interesting
Hmm, eye colour, Jalima? I'm not sure my DH would notice that. In fact, I'm not sure he'd even get my eye colour right if I asked him, let alone the DDs'. I will ask him, but tomorrow. I've already flummoxed him once today by checking if he knew my bra size (appertaining to another GN thread). He didn't, btw
Yes,*jalima*. That's him. And the other one's Martin Compston, I think.
do you mean Dougie Henshall gettingonabit?
Oh, yes, must watch him that
Ah, that would be a point that a good defence lawyer could use in court - but we didn't hear anything about the court case did we?
We are just too good, all of us, for the BBC to fool!
However, I did enjoy it so I must let all the faults go by the wayside.
However, brown eyes turned to blue? Even a father as blinkered as Sam would notice that surely?
Oooh..Plain Sight has the bloke from Line of Duty in it! And the guy from Shetland!
jalima I agree with you now about the photo evidence on the camera being actual evidence PROVIDED there was proof that the Butcher actually took the photos. Was there? It was quite an old camera and I'm wondering whether such a camera would have been capable of recording times/dates etc?
Something else that's been bothering me is the lack of similarity between the girls. I feel they are quite similar at first sight, but not similar enough to fool anyone. Sophie had massive blue eyes, a distinctive top lip and a turned up nose. Alice was altogether darker, with dark eyes. There's no way she'd fool anyone imho! And there would have been technology capable of "ageing" a face; why didn't anyone use that?
There is a new - I think three parter - starting next week on ITV called 'In Plain Sight' .
seacliff probably not, we will get the Christmas rubbish entertainment now.
I haven't watched Rillington Place, can anyone better Richard Attenborough?
I know there were some hard to believe bits, but generally I loved this series. I had to concentrate and watch properly, no being on computer at same time.
I was really glad that Alice and her brother reunited happily, finally. Sad that the Dad dies, but I expected someone would. I'll really miss it each week, hope something else good comes along soon.
I'm glad I'm not the only one who is sceptical gettingonabit - and everyone else!
Perhaps the camera was found whilst he was on remand; I can't remember now.
I don't think that would be circumstantial, I think it would be deemed to be actual evidence.
Perhaps I should just take programmes at face value and enjoy them instead of pulling them to pieces.
Post seems to have gone AWOL.
The Swiss town was actually Monschau in the Eifel region of Germany.... took me back to days of coffee and cakes and, especially at this time of year, waffles with hot cherries and cream!
Duh I meant WASN'T suicide.
.
I think it WAS acknowledged that Reed's death was suicide (watched some episodes again last night).
Something else has been troubling me. I can't understand how the butcher was convicted of the abduction simply on the say-so of the returned girl. Unless I've missed something? I can't remember there being an investigation. There was nothing to link him forensically, and the photo on the camera was found after he was imprisoned, wasn't it? Even then it would have been circumstantial, surely?
I must watch that, sadly we don't seem to catch CBeebies any more
I may never feel the same about Thursday.
If Reed had committed suicide he would have had to have lain on the floor himself to do the deed - because of the gore out the back of the head and on the floor directly underneath his head. It would be a pretty odd way to do it.
Roger Allam's finest hour occurs regularly on Cbeebies, where he is the voice-over on Sarah and Duck.
The body in the boot was the policeman who was killed by 'drill man'
Roger Allam is a great actor, but his tour de force was as Thursday ( in young Morse.)
The body was the poor young detective (German) who went to Adam's house and then was killed horribly when he was about to find out that Lucy (child)and the girls were being kept in the basement.
Just watched the last episode of The Missing, what an amazing series it has been.Loved it.
Yes Morgana I am watching Modus (see my thread Swedish Thriller). I enjoyed the first episode. When I told DH I was watching Swedish telly he assumed, quite wrongly, that I was watching something racy
Whose was the body in the back of the car in Missing please ?
I watched the first very atmospheric episode of Rillington Place (or whatever it is called) about the mass murdered Christie - excellent acting.
I would be grateful for some more recommendations please as I feel a bit bereft now.
Was it acknowledged that Reed didn't kill himself? If not, it would have been difficult to shoot oneself in the head and die at that angle, like grey says.^
I did have a look at the credits to see if they had a forensic scientist as an adviser to the series, but didn't see one.
Even just skirting the edge of the blood spatter from the bullet wound would have caused some footprint smudging around the edge. Especially as there would seem to be no apparent reason for Henry Reid to kill himself. If the German police investigated then I would have thought they would have been more thorough; if it was the military police then perhaps reports got changed or lost.
Sophie was replaced in the shed with Lena by drillman before it was set fire.
If the fire was put out fairly quickly there could be DNA from the bones which were underneath as the fire would go upwards and Stone changed the report. However, if it was ferocious and long lasting the DNA would have been totally destroyed and Stone could have faked the whole report.
I did like Roger Allam in Endeavour.
it did keep us all watching though didn't it! Quite a few far- fetched bits. Amazing how quickly they found them in Switzerland!!
Got to be a series 3 - lots of loose ends!
Anyone started watching Modus?
She wasn't in it when she set fire to it Sparklefizz (was she???) I remember drill man saying he planted the body of Lena in the shed after she had died. He said something about it being a perfect solution. Then that creep Stone fiddled the DNA.
I just assumed that the scan photos were because she was having a surrogate baby
and confuddled.
He did, greyduster, I think.
I thought that I heard Adam say when he was being interviewed that he let Sophie out of the shed. I may be wrong.
