Best thing on telly I reckon.

I will miss Arthur he was a good character Dom makes me smile and him and Arthur were good together . Must admit scene at end a bit over top .

Welshwife Fri 10-Jun-16 13:44:18

He and Dom went to the house where his parents live a few weeks ago - Dom remained in the car while Arthur went in and told them the news about being so ill. The parents were not shown at all even just at the door.

I think the most ridiculous thing is Connie Beachamp wearing those stilettos whilst administering a life saving procedure!
Poor old Charlie being accused of taking the tablets.

Lillie Fri 10-Jun-16 13:12:33

Something tells me Arthur's parents weren't at his wedding either, but at that point the story was all about Morven's dad.
He also said that the Holby team were his family so maybe his parents were estranged or dead?

Jane10 Fri 10-Jun-16 12:03:32

Absolutely ridiculous that his parents weren't there. Black mark to the writers!

Christinefrance Fri 10-Jun-16 11:54:13

Have to agree with Jinglebellsfrock the ending with everyone in the doorway and no parents was very odd. Thought Morven could have had some privacy. It is fictional of course so can't get too hung up about it. Casualty seems to be losing the plot a bit, think Duffy is coming back for an anniversary episode. Still good entertainment from Holby & Casualty

Well it made me cry, could hardly see the screen, did wonder why his mom and dad were not there or mentioned, but wish he had not been written out.

Well, it was different! Perhaps the producers have decided to ramp up the drama in order to compete more with the other bigger soaps.
I hope they don't go too silly, the actors are too good for that IMO.

Please just remember it is supposed to be entertainment, not real life. As entertainment goes, it was good value for money in my opinion. For true life, absolute rubbish of course! Shame Arthur's gone, he was a lovely gentle character.

ninathenana Wed 08-Jun-16 00:53:15

I thought the same jings 're everyone standing in the doorway.
I think Jac is being a bitch to Zosia because she sees herself in her

Eloethan Wed 08-Jun-16 00:07:47

It was so sad. I too think it's a shame Arthur has gone - he was such a sweet character. I wonder if he has other TV work lined up.

jinglbellsfrocks Tue 07-Jun-16 23:20:03

What was that dancing thing all about? As if! Was like something from Children in Need.

jinglbellsfrocks Tue 07-Jun-16 23:18:23

Shame Arthur's gone. He was a good character.

jinglbellsfrocks Tue 07-Jun-16 23:17:03

And I missed In The Club watching it on catchup, cos I was away last week and had to watch the episode on then.

jinglbellsfrocks Tue 07-Jun-16 23:15:13

Well I thought that was the daftest episode ever. Would the whole hospital really come through the door to watch him die? And not his mum and dad?! I'm sorry. Total rubbish. Over dramatised. Talk about wringing the last few drops of pathos out of it. Didn't make me cry. Very disappointing. [hmm-]

Ana Tue 07-Jun-16 22:25:25

Oh, I cried during the final scenes - so well acted by all of the cast...sad

Lona Tue 07-Jun-16 22:02:01

That scene where zosia broke down with Jac made me cry, the acting was really good all through.

tanith Tue 07-Jun-16 21:55:54

I thought it was excellent and very moving indeed. Jac does have a heart .

Jane10 Tue 07-Jun-16 21:26:03

I'm away from my telly home right now so having withdrawal symptoms! All recorded though so lots to look forward to.

Lillie Tue 07-Jun-16 21:21:16

I thought tonight's episode was well acted by all the cast. Quite moving.

Eloethan Wed 13-Apr-16 00:27:35

I like Holby too - especially Hansson - he's like a wise old owl.

Ana Tue 12-Apr-16 21:58:09

Oh no, I agree with jingl, h's gorgeous and in no way a pain in any area...you're only jealous grumppa!

grumppa Tue 12-Apr-16 21:34:11

Thank heavens Jesse has gone. He was a pain in the.........

jinglbellsfrocks Tue 12-Apr-16 21:01:36

Good one again tonight. Sorry to see Jesse go. I like him. (And he's gorgeous)

Jane10 Sat 09-Apr-16 13:36:22

I was never convinced by Mayer or Jordan. Seen them in too many other things. I'm not sure if I did see Holby Blue. What was it about?

Alima Sat 09-Apr-16 12:49:19

I really enjoyed Holby when Anton Mayer and Nick Jordan were in it. Sort of gave up when all the medical staff were at it like rabbits seemingly all the time. (No wonder the NHS is in a fix, nobody did any work then). Might give it another go and see what it is like now.
I enjoyed the police spin-off too, Holby Blue. Did anyone like that one?
