In thinking Rowan Atkinson is a prat (is that word acceptable if not replace it ?)

Mr. Bean has always made me feel uncomfortable.

With regard to Rowan Atkinson, I like some of his work, dislike some.

At the risk of sitting on the fence to the extent that I get splinters in my bottom, I can, to an admittedley very limited degree, see both points.

Of course we still have the Bumblebee (sic) presenting "Any Questions" , Paxman too with his programme that I cannot bear to watch, and in both age or gender (or perhaps more specifically the combination of the two?) shouldn't be an issue, however considering some of Alan Bennetts monologue plays (just as a random example) required a very specific actor/actress age?

But in conclusion, I do think that Rowan Atkinson made his point badly.

He may be a prat but he's not wholly bad – just another one who believes his own legend and thinks he's more important than he is.

Don't tell anyone, but I sometimes get his name mixed up with the ArchBish's (Canterbury). Just the names. But, actually, Atkinson could probably do a good ArchBish. Not sure Williams could do Mr Bean. Maybe they could do a Two Rowans Show.

A number of male newsreaders have white hair. John Craven is quite grizzled. When did you last see a silver-haired female newsreader or Country File presenter? I think Mr Atkinson would not be expressing these views if he was a woman.
