So, how long does your make up take?

Ten minutes, tops, usually less. That's foundation applied with a sponge, powder to set eye area (dry eye and glaucoma here too), 3 blended Mac eyeshadows, eyeliner (L'Oreal Precision Liner, waterproof so as not to irritate dry eye), undereye pencil, mascara, both also waterproof, lip salve. Been doing it daily since I was 17, and I am 71. The only difference is that I remove it before I settle down in the evenings. You either wear make up or you don't!

What is serum?

I think too much make up makes older people look even older which stands to reason if you think that very young people use it to make themselves look older.

About 3 minutes if I’m leaving the house, foundation, powder lipstick, no time at all if I don’t as I don’t bother with it!

About 2 minutes. A quick brush of Bare Minerals foundation. Blusher. Eyeliner. Lipstick.

About 5 minutes. I don't always wear it.

If I count cleansing first thing also, maybe 10 minutes. I wash my face first thing with superdrug naturally radiant hot cloth cleanser. I massage it in for maybe 30 seconds, I think that firm massage helps my skin stay fairly unlined. Then remove with muslin cloth. Apply Superdrug serum , then after a few minutes, the under eye brightening cream.

A bit later on I'll apply a tiny bit of Mac concealer across nose etc where a bit red. Apply Rimmel stay matte powder lightly on nose area. That's it usually.

I cannot use eye make up now as I have dry eye, and it exacerbates it. If I am looking pale, I might apply some Clarins self tanning milk on my cheeks etc, for a healthy glow that lasts a week or so.

I do think most of us didn't appreciate our looks when younger. I was never a beauty at all, but looking back, I was OK.. We can be so self critical, it's a shame.

Less than 5 minutes. Tinted moisturizer, a dab of concealer under eyes, eyeliner, mascara and lippy.

I will take a bit more time on an evening out, but not very much more. I a relatively low maintenance, even with my hair.

5 - 10 minutes whether for an ordinary day or a wedding!

Eyebrow gel in soft brown quick whoosh (I read once that eyebrows don’t have to be twins but ought at least to look like siblings - that made me laugh!)
Kohl pencil in brown under bottom lashes
Cream eyeshadow
Eye liner L’Oreal (because I’m worth it I suppose)
YSL black mascara
Lipstick - choose from the many but I’m not buying any more until I’ve used them ALL up and will then just buy 5 new ones - red, raspberry, toffee, coral and pink.

DanniRae ...apparantly you apply the magnetic eyeliner and then the lashes stick to that, looks easy and very quick on the advert.

About 5 minutes - a light foundation to even out the skin and lipstick. I always use lipstick.....seems to brighten up my otherwise dull face ?

My hair, though, is quite a different matter.

About 5 minutes and it's amazing what a difference those 5 minutes make,

I wear make-up every day for work, but on Saturdays I go make-up free (not a pretty sight) My routine:

Dream Mousse foundation, cream blusher, pencilled-in eyebrows, mascara, lipstick. About 20 minutes.

I have to wear foundation to build a second skin due to rosacea, and the steroid cream an ignorant GP prescribed for it, which ruined my skin. After that about 3 minutes to put on some mascara, lipstick and to draw my eyebrows in.

Another one here who doesn't use the stuff, so no time at all.

5 - 10 minutes. Serum, light foundation applied with a brush, eye pencil above and below lashes, shadow, mascara, blusher and lip crayon or gloss. And that's just for walking the dog!

Probably 20 minutes maybe more unless I'm just staying at home and then I only use a bit of concealer. I don't like people other than family touching my face so there's no way I could stand 10 hours of faffing about.

2-3 minutes- moisturiser, foundation, lipstick, combing my hair at the same time and then out of the door.

Moisturiser, no.7 match pot-2 drops mixed with no7 airbrush applied with a brush for an even quick finish, Diego de la Palma eyebrow mascara as my eyebrows have disappeared. Eyeliner, blusher, lipstick and sometimes a light dusting of golden bronzer. Doesn't take more than five minutes. Often use eyeshadow if out in the evening. Cheap concealer on age spots if showing after all that!

Two minutes - concealer, (under eye dark circles) blusher, lipgloss, done!

Tinted moisturiser to even out my skin tone, lipstick and mascara are all I usually wear. I have my eyebrows tinted now so don’t have to do anything to them except pluck away stray hairs. I wear eyeshadow if we are going somewhere special. Sometimes I use pink Vaseline instead of lipstick. I have never worn false eyelashes, not even in the sixties, nowadays young girls seem to wear them all the time, I have even seen girls in school uniform wearing them. I paint my toenails in the summer but rarely paint my fingernails as I am too clumsy to do it properly.
