Beautiful bronze Galen but I especially like The Hares and have a couple of hare paintings on the wall.

Last week I bought a plaque with the words 'I love you to the moon and back' for my 2GDs bedroom. It's something I always say to them as they love the book Guess How Much I Love You.

Lots of French influence, the "Auld alliance" was with France, before Scotland got pally with England.

Petticoat tails = petit gatelles, the shape of the triangular flared inserts set into skirts.

(Should that be petites to agree with gatelles?)

I'll have you know that the Royal Mile was once famed as the widest High Street in Europe, with not one central gutter but TWO, one at each side, discharging their contents down the vennels at the sides of the properties, into the Nor' Loch where Princes St Gardens are and the Cowgate on the south side.
