Where does he go on public holidays?

He did it again on Christmas Day! He being my one cat, Storm.

He went out in the early morning, and instead of coming in once or twice in the course of the day for a bite to eat, a cuddle and a snooze, as he usually does, he stayed out to well after dark.

I got worried in the late afternoon, because and old school building near us is being pulled down, so I donned layers and layers of clothes, as it was blowing a gale and went out to look. I was concerned he might have fallen into a hole on the demolition site and not be able to get out. Happily, there were not any holes there of any kind, or uncovered drains.

An hour after dark, who came marching home? One tired but otherwise fit and happy cat.

The odd thing is this has happened on other holidays. I wonder if he has struck up a friendship with a cat, who stays out all day when small children are visiting grandparents?
