What would an ideal far right country look right to those who would vote Reform?

This has been discussed before but spokespeople for the RNLI have stated that they are a registered charity and will continue to do what they have always done and what donors expect them to do - to save the lives of those in peril on the sea. Their remit is not to act as political pawns.

Not heard what their intentions are regarding the NHS. Last I heard was their desire to sell it off to the private sector. So we will be like America. No wonder Farage is happy to accept American donations in an underhand fashion. America will be desperate to get into any privatisation that this country has to offer. My dd has for the last year been admitted on more than occasion to a wonderful NHS hospital in Norfolk {the James Paget University Hospital. They have saved her life and given her the greatest care. I shudder to think what would have happened without the NHS. Think carefully what you may give up in exchange for unfounded plans to stop the boats. Think carefully if you think Farage and Co are the answer to the problems we have. Just because it would give them a chance to show what they can do is a horrifying prospect. As said before the image of that old man attacking the young woman who dared to ask about the donations they were receiving. Remember Farage making light of it and joking.

RNLI volunteers are being attacked by some of the balaclava blackshirt mob - chilling.
Aren't they going to repeal all equalities legislation so women can be sacked for pregnancy, maternity pay, PIP etc will be a thing of the past, NHS dismantled etc?

Shame on those protesters- yes chilling. Reform say they plan to take the UK out of ECHR, yet has not clarified what would be the replacement to protect rights already enjoyed by UK citizens currently protected. That does raise uncertainty and concern about existing maternity and disability rights and welfare eligibility for sure.

Well said Lovetopaint, and I have similar reason to be eternally grateful to the NHS and share your determination that we mustn’t risk losing not lose it.

As I understand it, it is the running of NHS facilities that would be privatised, not the NHS itself. We will still have a free national heath system.

I suggested that the sort of society that a Reform voter hopes for would be rather like a Miss Read novel.
I think that the Reform supporters believe that that sort of society would happen if only they could stop other people from wanting to live here.
I also think that that was what they hoped would happen if we could only leave the EU.

If there were no more small boat crossings, then the blame for an imperfect society would fall on welfare claimants.
Reform supporters, in my opinion are looking for an idealised (and homogenous) society.
