Interesting.
And the children starting school here.

Cossy Thu 20-Aug-26 08:18:48

In the interests of not being rude, I’m sorry but I really couldn’t care less.

It’s a completely paradoxical situation, they only want the publicity if it’s from them, media print all kinds of absolute rubbish.

Whatever they do and don’t do is entirely their business, they’re damned if they do, damned if they don’t, behaved badly, should publicly acknowledge it and my entire paragraph is simply my opinion.

One thing I do hope regardless, the entire family makes some sort of peace, life is far too short thanks

Gwyllt Thu 20-Aug-26 08:23:35

I wonder if they are as popular with the rest of GB as they are on here. It is unlikely that Megan will read all our comments though and I guess she is pretty thick skinned

MarieElla Thu 20-Aug-26 08:24:03

Maybe they're planning to issue an apology?

Aveline Thu 20-Aug-26 08:35:55

Best thing would be to ignore them. That's what they least want.

Fallingstar Thu 20-Aug-26 08:36:06

I simply hope they make it up with the family for the sake of the grandchildren.
Above and beyond that I second Cossy inasmuch I really don’t care too much what Harry and Meghan do.

Sadly, I do.
I dont want the Royal Family any more upset than they already are.

They are private citizens by their own choice. Their decisions on where they live, educate their children should be of no more public interest than that of any private citizen, such as you and me.

But they are related to the Royal Family. Big time.

Maybe they're planning to issue an apology?

That would be wonderful.

What are the chances?

I am definitely not a fan of Harry’s behaviour regarding his tell all book or the interviews that he and Meghan have done. No need to wash one’s dirty linen in public.

I am a fan of family, and they have an English family who do not know their children.

We are told time and time again that the family unit is important for children, especially grandparents, whether they happen to be the King and Queen of the U.K. is irrelevant they are still granny and grandpa.

eazybee Thu 20-Aug-26 08:52:10

So the children are being pitchforked into a new country just as they start school, without any friends or familiarity with the British way of life, even in the rarefied circles in which they intend to move. They must have organised a house surely as the children won't be expected to board immediately, will they?
I foresee trouble which is a shame as Charles and Katherine have fought hard against their cancer and continued to work throughout.
We also have the delights of Charles Spencer's forthcoming book about his sister, detailing her unhappy marriage, as though we hadn't had enough of that already. No doubt Harry will be there on the promotional tour.

Wherever they live I hope they can find happiness and peace.

There are two innocent children starting school in a new to them country, wishing them well.

What a refreshing post.

This
I never ceased to be amazed by the anger directed at H and M

Witzend Thu 20-Aug-26 09:10:43

I dare say it’s a) financial, and b) it’s beginning to dawn that America no longer has any interest in them.

Nell82 Thu 20-Aug-26 09:11:35

Oh - please - not again

Now I'll have to resist being sucked into another media feeding frenzy.

I think they are returning as a last resort. All their ventures have failed in the US.
I think it's a very desperate move as Meghan has expressed nothing but dislike for the UK. Having given several interviews about her unhappiness while living here shows hypocrisy and desperation.
She is also aware that she is disliked by a lot of us here. They both are.
Two very foolish, delusional and now desperate people.
Great entertainment!

Sago Thu 20-Aug-26 09:19:13

It’s a sad situation, I think Harry was a lost soul who found a strong and beautiful woman.

Unfortunately his woman is a complex character, possibly narcissistic, controlling and not always truthful.

On a positive note he will have a support network of friends around him and who knows he may reconcile with his Father and brother.

If all else fails I’m sure his Uncle Andy is a bit short on company🤔

I agree with you GrannyGravy13.

Pick up new experiences here and go back and flog the stories in the States maybe. Whatever I think this is going to be a tricky time for the whole RF.

Hasn’t Charles Spencer been a pretty awful husband himself?

Visgir1 Thu 20-Aug-26 09:31:27

It was bound to happen him coming back home. So Harry said it was unsafe to live in the UK, what's changed? Both hypocrite's it going to end in tears.

I feel sorry for the poor King, he has Andrew and now Harry to support.

Samsara1 Thu 20-Aug-26 09:33:33

Oh well everyone deserves a second chance ( a third and fourth one in some families). The children are innocent and its a hug change for them- I expect it will be some kind of progressive school. DH said he wouldn't want to be the Head Teacher.
I expect to see Meghan on Loose women, Day time quiz shows and Strictly any time soon.

MarieElla Thu 20-Aug-26 09:38:54

I don't think Maghan will get a lot of offers to appear on such popular programmes. I could be wrong, but she is not liked by the majority here and it would be a risk.

icanhandthemback Thu 20-Aug-26 09:39:47

Just last week I was reading many articles about how Meghan will never return to England, how their marriage is on the rocks because Harry wants more to do with his family, etc. If this latest news is true it shows just how much rubbish there is out there about this couple.
I am suspicious about this latest, sudden news because I think that the issue of security and such has been put aside for Harry because he knows his time is running out to make peace with his father. Maybe the King knows something we don't and it wouldn't be necessarily a leap to think it could be to do with his health. There has to be huge reason for Harry and Meghan to return.

ClicketyClick Thu 20-Aug-26 09:42:49

The only good thing to maybe come out of this move is that their children, the innocents in the mess made by their parents, now have the opportunity to build a bond with Harry's side of the family. That is assuming there will be some form of forgiving. At this early stage, I'm already sick of hearing about these two hypocrites and have had to turn off the TV. Apparently the Sun has 7 pages, yes 7, about them in today's paper so a sign of what's to come.

Of course. I hope that Archie and Lilibet don't get dragged into a media circus and that could be possible if their parents don't seek publicity, GrannyGravy13
It is possible to live quietly as members of the Royal Family who do not carry out Royal duties but pursue their own careers, as has been proved.

Fronted adverbials greyfur!! They seem to be the latest trend although I suppose they were always around.

JenniRen Thu 20-Aug-26 09:53:52

Perhaps Doria will bring some dignity to the proceedings if she comes.
