I am wondering if this will be long term and whether they actually thought of this aspect of this war bringing the world to a standstill . A friend was lucky to get back here after a funeral, all the flights were cancelled shortly after he managed to get through. Financially it would be very hard if you were stuck overseas - we were once stuck for a week on an island during Covid and had to pay all the extra board and meals etc. Often you cant insure against things like wars etc. Trivial if you are caught in a war zone but still very difficult, especially for young ones on a tight budget.
