A memorial event on Sunday has been organised by Jewish groups to mark the anniversary of 7 October attack on Israel.

I guess though that there is ongoing killing happening. If you have relatives out there, waiting can't be an easy option.At least the march isn't on the actual anniversary of the massacre.

Any one else lighting a candle on their window sill on the 7th? Not for any particular ‘side’ but just to pause and remember all those who have died, been bereaved or even just been affected by the conflicts.

I doubt that people carrying placards reading "I love Hezbollah" are remotely interested in demonstrating any respect.

It will be interesting to see how many arrests involving genuine participants are made at the memorial event.

Antisemitism is a terrible thing and should be rooted out everywhere as it has been in the Labour Party. The same goes for Islamophobia and is an awful lot of that about atm. Or indeed any kind of racism.
But being against the politics of a particular country is completely different.
I have attended a march calling for a ceasefire in London. Lots of families from every walk of life attended including a group called ‘Jews against war’ who were singing and chatting with many others.
I will also mark the anniversary of the deaths of innocent Israelis on Oct 7th.
Because a person can be against continued killing in Gaza and Lebanon and be against Hamas and Hezbollah as well, it isn’t a case if ‘either/or’.

I think most people know why Khan allows this, (allegedly)!. Such a terrible business. All those young people being chased, hunted down and murdered is appalling. The memory of that young mother and her two little boys I found particularly haunting. I think they are all dead now, how shocking is that?
