I’ve commented on the other thread that this case raises the eternal question. Why do so many men view women with disdain. As objects to be sexually assaulted.
I be have always said that in order to reduce sexual assault and rape cases, don’t look at extra more sensitive policing, longer sentences - though both are necessary , or encouraging women to be safe on our streets.
Go to the source. Let’s start looking at ‘men’, the actual perpetrators. And begin to dismantle a society that serves as apologists for men’s bad behaviour and build a new one that starts treating boys exactly the same as girls from day one. No ‘boys will be boys’. It can be done, many young men now no longer subscribe to the old tacit rules passed down by the old guard.
