With apologies to POGS

In the Ann Widdecombe Chat Thread, POGS asked if the Germans are now doing in Europe what they failed to do in WW2 - take over Europe.

I think they should be allowed to do just that - take over the Eurozone as a whole. Apparently the budget of the Eurozone in total is better than that of the US, and of Britain. It's individual countries that are bringing it down.

Wouldn't it be better for Angela Merckle to be in charge of the whole lot, for a while at least. (Bearing in mind that we are not included smile

HELLO, THIS IS POGS.

I AM SORRY BUT I AM AT A TOTAL LOSS WHY I AM MENTIONED ON THIS THREAD. I HAVE NEVER SPOKEN OF THE GERMANS AS MENTIONED AND I WOULD NOT SAY WHAT I AM SUPPOSED TO HAVE SAID ABOUT THE WAR!.

CAN SOMEONE ENLIGHTEN ME PLEASE I'M A LITTLE UPSET.

Indeed - it was someone else entirely.

Oops! Sorry.

It was someone called paradisemerton.

Simple mistake. Untwist yer knickers Pogs. smile (nothing wrong with *paradies's question that I can see)

J 04.

Well I'll take that as an apology. Not really knickers in a twist, more G..string cutting me in half. As my G..string is a tea towel and a yard of string, that hurts.

Bet you did not think your header--Apologies to POGS-- would be so apt smile.

No. I didn't. grin

I nearly put another thread up - "further apologies to POGS". grin

I used to work in European Finance and can tell you that the current situation is no surpise to me at all. The work ethic in the northern Europeans is much better than in the southern ones. I think it is inevitable that eventually we will have to have a controlled breakup of the Eurozone unless the Germans are happy to keep bankrolling the rest of them.
