Is anyone else as daft as me?

I almost cleaned my teeth Ethan’s ream last night

Also it’s awful to admit to but when I was about 11years old I really disliked some of my brothers girlfriends, so would deliberately put salt on their tea instead of sugar.

It is so lovely to read these, to find our I'm not the only one. One Christmas I made the gravy partly with coffee granules (before I realized). Had to use as no other, and it was commented on that it tasted different, but that was it. Phew.

In days gone by my DM lathered her face with Brylcream instead of moisturiser. Just couldn't understand why it was taking so long to rub in. Then, a few years later applied squirty cream instead of mousse to her hair. Nope, she did not suffer from dementia.

My DM was asked to pour the teas after church. Unbeknownst to her, instant coffee had already been spooned into mugs. Her job was to pour the tea from a huge pot.
She filled all the cups with tea and only noticed what was happening when someone appeared with hot water to do the coffees.
The strange thing was, nobody complained!🤣

A colleague poured what she thought was cream over a piece of chocolate cake only to discover it was bread sauce

I once put salt in OH's coffee instead of sugar.

I bought a new liquid eyeliner, and after a few weeks decided it really didn't give a "dramatic look".

Then someone showed me how to actually remove the lid.

That reminds me of the Bodach saying the disposable razor was useless, then he noticed there was a guard over the blade.

How about fly spray in your hair? Wasn’t good!

Standing in the airport loo drying my hands in the “Dyson drier” and realising when they didn’t dry it was the rubbish bin……

I once used Mr Sheen instead of hairspray!!

In a posh shop I decided to have a large spray of expensive perfume. The tester bottle was actually body lotion which dripped down my neck and all over my blouse.

I took my mum to see my brother at his flat, also my eight year old daughter came. I always loved the way my brother kept a nice collection of pick and mix sweets on his bookcase in separate coffee jars. He went to the kitchen to make us some tea and I decided to have a few of his chocolate buttons that looked nice. They tasted a bit off so I only had about three and when he came back with the tea I told him his chocolate buttons were going off. He replied to me Oh they are the doggies ones but I keep them on there. I still remember it even though it was years ago and I still laugh about it.

As a child, staying at a friend’s house, I picked up the toothpaste to brush my teeth and was in awe at the lovely shimmery green colour. A couple of minutes later I went downstairs with bubbles coming out of my mouth and asked about the toothpaste. It was shaving foam - in the same shaped tube as toothpaste 🤣 🫧 🫧🫧

For about a year I took shampoo in my swimming bag for using in the shower after my swim.
I did wonder why it didn't lather.

One day I decided to read the label only to discover it was conditioner.

oh my ..my stomach's sore with laughing...keep them coming..

I once put the washing into the kitchen bin and the rubbish into the washing machine. Luckily I did realise before I switched the machine on!

Recently just caught my husband’s hand in time when I saw him put Haemorrhoid cream on his toothbrush.
Took my husband’s passport on holiday but fortunately noticed when I got to the pick up point and was able to catch up with them. …. and many others too numerous to count. Husband has dementia, what’s my excuse!

Years ago in a care home, we would sit with the residents and have a cup of tea in the afternoon.

One lady had some quite unpleasant habits, that usually included dropping her denture into her tea.

My colleague was chatting away as our break ended, picked up a cup and drained it, then realised she had the residents cup instead of her own.

I love these, keep them coming. As good as the jokes thread.
I'm sure that I've done several similar daft things but none come to mind!

Just this morning I had two bowls ready to make a chocolate cake and some pastry.
Put the ingredients for each in the bowls so as to not have to keep putting flour etc back into the cupboard and out again.
Went off to answer the door bell , came back and promptly put the eggs and cocoa into the pastry mix and started to mix ……..

Instead of using blusher, I was in the habit (still am) of just using a dab of lipstick and rubbing it in.
Just as well I was only going up to the post on this occasion, but I did think a couple of people were giving me very funny looks.

Back home, hall mirror told me that I’d applied a nice rosy dab each side - and forgotten to rub it in! I looked like some sort of barmy-old-lady clown!

I picked up a bottle of Milton fluid instead of cleansing milk, soaked the cotton pad in it and proceeded to wipe makeup off my face. Luckily I didn't start with the eye makeup.

Put a pair of tights down the toilet instead of in the washing bin. (I did fish them out when I realised what I’d done)

One day whilst on holiday, DH went to clean his teeth. He queried what brand we were now using as it tasted horrible and didn't froth. In some trepidation I asked him to show me, and discovered he'd cleaned his teeth with my oestrogen cream.....
