"I wept because I had no shoes, until I met a man who had no feet"
Today I am going to visit a friend in hospital. She has been there for months, since she had a stroke a couple of weeks after a hip operation. They have had to remove a leg (she was a heavy smoker for years)
I shan't be moaning to her about the arthritis in my sewing/knitting fingers.

Sometimes life throws so much at us that we wonder how we get through. In my case a violent neglectful childhood, brother's suicide at 24, nephew's death from leukaemia at 16, his mother dropping dead at 49, losing my teeth, losing my hair and then this year my DH's cancer diagnosis. This is not whingeing, just saying. We need to give ourselves a break. We are OK. People on here have been through a lot and are still there for others who are struggling.
I hope your DD stays safe loopylou.
