Several months ago I posted my one and only thread on gransnet so far when DD went for her 12 week scan and found that the baby had died a week or so earlier.Well I'm back ,and thrilled to say today she had a scan and all seems well.So keep your fingers crossed because I'm just starting to allow myself to feel excited about this baby after seeing the heartache of her and her partner last time,and feeling the loss for us as grandparents.Of course there's a long way to go but hopefully by August I will be a grandma -or nan or whatever name feels right !

DD had a similar, though not identical sadness at her first 12 week scan for a much wanted baby 15 months ago so we were very tense to say the least (well actually I was a wreck) almost exactly a year later when she was due to have her next 12 week scan. All was well, but I empathise with your grief at the time. to you and to her and everything crossed for this pregnancy!

ww fingers crossed, but its a worrying time been through the same with DD, I felt like I didn't take a deep breath for months. The baby was 2yrs old last week
