I'm looking for suggestions for breakfast from my imaginative GN friends.
I have IBS which means I can't have cereal or anything fibrous , which limits me quite a bit.
I'm on my own , and struggle to come up with something different.
Has anyone got any good ideas for me?
Many thanks in advance. x

I was advised by a dietician that an omelette is a good daily breakfast. There are so many filling options to give variety from day to day. Also quick and easy to make, and just a wipe round the omelette pan if you beat the egg in the pan.

Banana make great smoothies and pancakes, or just fried in a little butter or a handful of raspberries. If your weight can bear it, mashed with cream and a spoonful of brown sugar.

(My digestive system does prefer them cooked).

Shakshuka - I made it for special brunches. It’s basically fried onions, peppers tomatoes and eggs with spices, but you can add feta or sausages or chick peas- lots of variations. Really delicious.

Why not have what King Charles has for breakfast if you have the time - baked eggs, spinach and cheese or eggs Benedict.

You can get the Hollandaise sauce from a bottle for quickness for the Eggs Benedict.

What about his plums?
Apparently he must have 2 at breakfast but only ever eats one.

I've started making overnight oats.
(5 tbsp) of porridge oats
(5 tbsp) of your preferred UK milk (e.g., semi-skimmed or dairy-free)
(3 tbsp) of 0% fat yogurt

I add Chia seeds 1tbs which requires 2 more tbs of milk
mix it and leave in the fridge overnight and then top with a little honey and preferred choice of fruit. It is very filling
