I'm sure it's been around for a while but I've only just caught up with the M&S roast beef advert.

I've never heard of roast beef butter. Is it politically correct dripping??

Butter chicken is the name of a recipe.

Roast beef butter is according to the advert, the name of an ingredient.

The butter isn't pretentious
The name is though.

Butter chicken is a curry (Makhan murg).

I reckon merlotgrandad has got it right.
