Most of the answers here are complete crap. There is so much bias when it comes to analyzing diet sodas that it's not even funny. People actually think that diet soda is just as bad for you as regular soda? Really? Do these people understand that sugar is the most harmful substance in the modern American's diet? Seriously, let's say we're eating at McDonald's for lunch. Let's order a double quarter pounder with cheese, a large order of fries and a Coke. The most unhealthy thing in that meal is the Coke, and it's not even close. If you choose to order a Diet Coke instead, the most unhealthy thing in that meal becomes the French fries.
