Good morning, Michael12 and all!
It's still storming heavily here as of all night, so beautiful! On my way to work this morning, various loose shop signs had been blown all over the road and pavements, and a gazebo was no more! The unsecured shed in the car park at the back of our flats had done hundreds of quid worth of damage to Mr Creep's car and bits and pieces to others. This morning I checked various places in case of any injured or deceased animals or birds, but thankfully didn't find any.
When I finished work yesterday, I went to the Co-Op for a box of washing powder and started to realise exactly how many washes I do each week! I live alone, always have, never with anyone else or flat shares or anything, but I do 3 or 4 washes a week! I understand in winter/storms, as my clothes become saturated, so I have to bung them in the machine, but during dry weather?!
I found this brilliant book about menopause. Actually found it in a charity shop for a quid. It goes into some serious details about exactly what women's brains and bodies go through. Various medical and psychological changes, details that even a lot of women don't know! How it can literally change your personality and cause all kinds of stuff.

I've absolutely no idea what it was, but there was a really weird sound from outside last night, probably caused by the storm, but I got out of bed about 11:30. My bedroom window was open but on the catch, so not fully open, as I didn't want the storm smashing the glass in, and I opened it wide for a few seconds to poke my head out. The only way I can describe the noise was like... a hole in a hole....it sounded really primitive too! I put the window back on the catch, guzzled some cold water and went back to bed!
For any Angelina Jolie fans here who love animals, she's bought about 150,000 acres in Cambodia to combat illegal logging and poaching, and has employed local residents, including former poachers, as park rangers to protect local wildlife, which includes elephants, Indochinese tigers and black bears. It's all part of the Maddox Jolie-Pitt Foundation.
It also includes funding local schools, healthcare - reaching annually over 10,000 people and beekeeping programs and sustainable farming!
