Why do people lie online are they living a fantasy or winding us up?

Aley I believe the thread in question said this person lived alone so knew it wasn’t anyone in the house that had moved her blue knickers, but she did have a workman in the house at the time so thought it must be him …..however someone remembered past posts where the same poster had a husband and wife it seemed at the same time. perhaps she had got rid of them both who knows

I've just received a Private Gransnet message signed Todd but with an user name of Trueeve!!

By all accounts he/she thinks my comments are wonderful and i sound fabulous. So much so that they'd love to meet me. Distance no problem. Age no problem.

So tempted. But sadly I'm cutting my toe-nails tonight. I hope that they won't be too offended

The message they sent is the length of a short novel. So much effort for so little reward .........

(....... unless any of you Gransnetters can add to the story!!!)

@Barbadosbelle , I just received the same message. I was tempted to reply telling him to do one but deleted his message instead . It’s probably taken him a full day to message the whole of gransnet

that is the pressure of social media. people living perfect lives, all white teeth smiles and perfect homes. piles of gifts at Christmas and perfect Summer holidays with not an argument in site
