As I've been viewing houses recently and there are so many where my heart sinks. They are often paved over for parking in the front and a treeless desert at the back.

Where I lived and worked before, I had to use my car 6, often 7, days a week for work, but since moving here to Whitby, my work is a 10-minute walk away, so I seldom use my car now, and it's also saving me a fortune in petrol! But I had a lovely day off work yesterday, so I drove about 19 miles each way to Thornton-Le-Dale.

As a foodie, I found a gorgeous little tea room, Lavenders Tea Rooms, The Forge, The Square. Where I had a lovely pot of tea and a cake!

Found a charity shop to sniff around in and bought a little card with a robin on it, just small enough to put in the back of my purse as a lucky charm!

Spent the entire day in Thornton, wandering around, taking photos, guzzling cans of Monster.

Back at work today.

I have been on three different biologics, years of it, I do know the score. It looks as if I may need to go on a fourth one.
It's about taking precautions and striking a fine balance.

I even sit on my own at church, hiding away in a corner, now that church is so crowded. # MD no pals.

Apologies I thought you meant the outside kitchen drain. Take care about scratches in the garden. As a recently immunosuppressed person due to immunotherapy drug Rituximab, I am as careful as I can be.

Hollysteers all the box hedges and plants here are dying .
It is a result of something called buxus moth, that isn’t correct but loosely descriptive.
Mine have died and my friend had to pay £150 to have hers cleared and burnt.
It was absolutely covered in the grubs.
A gardener told me is is all over our area.

Good morning from Sunnyside Northwest coast. These warm temperatures suit me perfectly, I’m thin blooded.
Enjoyed drawing with inks and bleach yesterday and took a bag of cast offs to the charity shop, but came away with a little hand painted Portuguese dish…

My box hedge seems to be dying and I fear it’s just not lack of rain. If it does die, I’m not sure what to replace it with, it’s perfect in the position it’s in.

Tonight to a bar play at the local theatre and also fix up car insurance.

Good morning all from a sunny Glasgow, where it is 12°C.

FGT, good to find you upbeat this morning.

Today is Dollie's dance show, in the depths of North Ayrshire. I couldn't face driving the twisting, country route, so DS is taking me.
Dollie must be exhausted, because she had second lead in the school show, Annie on Thursday. DS took videos for us. She was fantastic. I am not braised.🤭
I think my neighbour, the other gran, who lives next door, is also going . She has never expressed a desire a nor bothered to go for the past seven years. I don't know what is going on.

Yesterday, I got a worrying phone call from the rheumatology specialist nurse, right in the middle of Sainsbury's.
I nearly didn't answer it, because it came up as an unknown caller, not the usual generic, hospital one.
I explained, where I was, but she asked me to find a quiet corner, (Where? The medical aisle 😉, it was so busy!!) as she needed to speak to me.
I could hardly hear her, but obviously I couldn't use speaker phone.

Firstly, she asked how I was feeling. (Ominous). After saying how unwell I am and my high levels of pain, she explained that the bloods I had taken at the local Health Centre, the previous day, were causing concern. ( Heart sinks).
How speedy was that, to get a result? Twenty four hours after having them taken, a haematologist, in a hospital, ten miles away from the Health Centre, had flagged them up, as concerning.
Apparently, my immune system markers are critically low, and I may have to stop my biologics. Basically, my immune system is kaput.
In addition, my inflammatory markers and white cell count are very high. I have all the indicators of an infection or something else going on, but what?
If experience a fever, I have to seek medical help ASAP.
This explains, why I am so exhausted and unwell.

The specialist was so kind, she cancelled my telephone consultation for July and has asked the secretary to organise an urgent face to face appointment with the consultant (almost impossible).
I am so relieved, because I cannot go on like this.
DH is so unwell, (his bloods aren't back yet), therefore, Iam having to do almost everything.
My children all work long hours in stressful jobs, so I do not want to ask them for help.

Last night, the dishwasher, developed a fault. I hadn't noticed, that the dishwasher was still trying to drain after three hours. DH had noticed, but had said nothing.🤬
I asked him to switch it off at the socket, under the sink, so he switched off the kettle on the worktop!
I showed him, where the socket was under the sink, he did, but it was still trying to drain.
How on earth could the dishwasher be still be working, with no electricity????
DH had switched off an empty socket!!!! God give me strength and lots of it!!!!

I had an inkling part of the problem might be a blocked drain, so out I went at midnight, to search the garage for drain cleaner. Dear reader, what do you think DH was doing? Answers on a postcard.
I know how to resolve the problem, (I think). It requires a YouTube video and a big strong man or woman. At the moment, the latter is in short supply.😉 DS2 will be here tomorrow, I will conscript him!

On a lighter note, I was rummaging in the sale rail in Sainsbury's feeling unwell has never hindered me , when a lady spoke to me and held up a dress. That would suit you dear, it's a size 10. I burst out laughing. explaining, I am a 16,
I would never I have known,. said she.
That cheered me up, along with the request to prove my age, in order to get my discount in Iceland.

I am trying to find the energy to get up and dressed, but it is not happening!

Good morning from a dry and sunny NE with a promise of about 20°.
Yesterday was a day of resting on the sofa as I had been awake the entire night and in great pain. I watched an entire series on Netflix on my tablet. I am really into Harlan Coben thrillers.
There will be no visitors for the next week as all the family are on holiday, I will just go into the garden for fresh air.

Good morning from dry and bright South Lanarkshire, a pleasant change from yesterday’s monsoon like rain.

We were asked to collect eldest GC yesterday as the time of her return from her school trip to Italy clashed with her younger sibling’s swimming lesson. Her suitcase must have been the heaviest of them all, she will have to ditch a few things when she packs again for our holiday departure next week.

I’ve an appointment to have my brows and lashes tinted this morning after which we may pop into the first market to be held in the local park. If it’s successful more will follow.

Good morning all and the heat hasn’t hit yet. Windows open and it’s pleasantly cool.
Dreading this next week of heatwave! 🥵.

Today ds1 is accompanying me to the bank for a meeting to sort out bank accounts. I want things made easy.
DS will then come home and I’ll meet my friend for a wander around The Mount. It will be cool and shady.
We’ll then have a coffee in their cafe which has recently re-opened.

I’ll phone my db1 today and invite them over for coffee tomorrow. Haven’t seen them in a while and he’s 10 years older than me, so must keep regular contact. The problem is Dh really can’t be bothered with visitors and can be rather unwelcoming 😬.
Never a ‘Mr. sociable’ , the stroke has made him ‘more like himself’.

Oh well we’ll just carry on being our jolly selves 😅.

Good morning all from Polmont where it's currently 16° and sunny. It is nice to see gardens of all shapes and sizes on the thread today.
Yesterday I headed to Edinburgh. I was lucky to get parked at my local station because often it's totally full. I met my son on the train which wasnt too busy and we went to Dishoom. They gave us a lovely table upstairs, looking out onto St Andrews Square. The food was excellent and we blethered lots. He is such good company. Afterwards ds took me to the Edinburgh Grand which was also in same area of St Andrews Square. Grand it was indeed with that hushed atmosphere of luxury. I had an iced coffee and more blethering until we left. By that time the rain in Edinburgh was torrential. As I cannot walk fast, I was thoroughly soaked but it's only water.
It was really nice to see my ds and spend time with him. In the afternoon, I put my feet up. They were rather painful after the walking from Wednesday and yesterday.
Today I'm meeting my friend for breakfast at the local garden centre. No doubt there will be more blethering! Thereafter I will crack on with housework. I must remember to buy bread as I'm completely out. Have a good day all.

Morning, cloudy in S Hants, heat starts tomorrow, I’ll hibernate.
Topped up bbq supplies at the butcher yesterday and Tesco delivered, a full fridge. We visited a busy pub for Friday catch up.
Our camper van friends from Wales are here this evening, their choice of Chinese take away will be delivered, we’ll sit outside.

We will do our local food shop this morning and then DH is going to help DD2 repair some steps in her garden. I have some cakes to ice.
This evening we are attending a 21st birthday party for my great niece.
