Good morning, Michael12 and all!

Grammaretto and grandMattie, thanks for the beautiful photos!

Where I lived and worked before, I had to use my car 6, often 7, days a week for work, but since moving here to Whitby, my work is a 10-minute walk away, so I seldom use my car now, and it's also saving me a fortune in petrol! But I had a lovely day off work yesterday, so I drove about 19 miles each way to Thornton-Le-Dale.

As a foodie, I found a gorgeous little tea room, Lavenders Tea Rooms, The Forge, The Square. Where I had a lovely pot of tea and a cake!

Found a charity shop to sniff around in and bought a little card with a robin on it, just small enough to put in the back of my purse as a lucky charm!

Spent the entire day in Thornton, wandering around, taking photos, guzzling cans of Monster.

Back at work today.

Have a good one, all of you!

TheWeirdoAgain60 your post reminded me of Melanie’s posts on here. I imagine she would have loved Thornton. Did you happen to see her? 😄

York lady I wonder if you mean Madelaine? I too think of her in her beloved Yorkshire Dales.

Marydoll

*FGT*, I love my new name. Marydeoll. It looks much classier than Marydoll. I may register.

😮
I really ought to proof read Marydoll!

Lovely garden photos Gelisajams.
How rude of the Hedge cutter man to criticise your beautiful garden.

As I've been viewing houses recently and there are so many where my heart sinks. They are often paved over for parking in the front and a treeless desert at the back.
