Finding a nice pair of cropped trousers?

At the beginning of the season I bought myself some linen cropped wide legged trousers. Sadly, they do nothing for me. I keep seeing ladies around with cropped Capri trousers which are tailored. Would anyone know where I could get a pair/pairs, please? Thank you.

Oh WHY? They like "barrel leg jeans" look horrific on most women.

Sorry - simply my opinion.

I have to agree. IMO crops only look good on the reasonably tall and reasonably slim,, and as for wide leg crops, the less said about those, the better.

I still recall a woman in the M&S changing room a few years ago - she’d just tried on some pale-ish peach coloured crops and was asking her friend or relative what she thought.

The woman was short, plump and dumpy - mousy-fair and pink complexioned. I wanted to scream NOOOO!!!! Or at least advise her to get some in black or navy.

But her friend/relative said ‘Yes, they’re nice,’ but with a distinct lack of enthusiasm - I dare say she was just too kind to say, ‘Actually, they look pretty awful on you - sorry.’

I have yet to find a pair of crops that fit me properly. A shade over five feet tall, they look ridiculous. Indontnthinkmits beyond the wit of fashion producers to make crops for short people but we don’t seem to figure in the equation .

I like wide leg crops for summer. With a fitted top I think they look nice.

I find they’re all too blooming long for me……..obviously made for people around 6 inches taller than me with both legs the same girth……..don’t ask, long story!

My very stylish cousin has mentioned Blue Diamond fsvourably.

Yes, a lot of Cotton Traders brand there. I bought a lovely pair of just below the knee, with a strap detail, and a pair of Bermuda shorts that are in good quality cotton there.

Robell have some lovely ones not cheap but fit beautifully and feel great. Also look at White Stuff shorts. They are really comfortable and knee length and so comfortable

Padstow you did make me laugh. I used to a size 32 well over 19st. Took me 5 years to lose 7st . My daughter persuaded me to try trousers which I live in. I am size 16 have baggy flabby skin but don't care. This time of the year wear wide legged extra short M&S linen mix trousers. Colder weather wide leg M&S extra short can't remember what they are made from but don't need ironing trousers both easy to wear and just pull on .

This might make you smile. January last year had a week in hospital when they measured me told me I had lost an inch I said from my hips the nurse laughed 😅 no off your height.

I bought white Robell capri pants earlier this year. Fitted, good quality and so far I’m very pleased with them.

I also have a couple in a make called Pomodoro which also fit well.
I am small so I always look for fitted clothes as loose fitting styles of anything swamp me.

I bought my cropped trousers in Crew, very good quality and fitted to mid calf. I don't like the wide legged trousers that seem to be everywhere now.

I’ve been buying capri trousers from Roman for a few years . I have just ordered a turquoise pair to go with the 6 other colours I have , including white. The sizing is similar to M and S but they are stretchy too . Good material and wash well, colours don’t seem to fade .

Do they have a petite range of crops?

silverlining48 Fri 19-Jun-26 18:30:16

Does anyone know anywhere that do a petit range of crops/capri they are always one length , too long if one is too short.

Another vote for Roman, or if you are feeling flush Robell.
