No connection between * VioletSky* and Allira if that’s what you mean. And apologies if I’ve misunderstood.
The only change I remember *Callistemon” making was adding a number to her name after she and another respected poster had been targeted and subsequently left. The added digits were because you can’t re register your old name so when she rejoined she added a number. That’s all I remember.

So I was on the threads that doodledog so eloquently describes, they were a nightmare, and I don't mind a 'battle'.
But i honestly feel I would recognise the poster involved so I am a little unsure.

Violet was unmistakable, she often returned with very similar names and identical attacks on the parents of estranged adult children. She campaigned with personal attacks of two well liked posters, to the extent their health suffered. One of them left the forum, sadly and I’m sure I’m not alone in wishing she was here.

This Allira discussion reminds me how most of us are friendly, quick to offer support and even the dreaded News n Politics provides interesting debates on significant issues, well that’s my opinion not, I know, universally popular. I don’t do games so it probably evens out

Why are you all bothered by VS. From what I remember of her she was a classroom assistant who was diagnosed with neuro diversity in adult hood. She went on the estrangement thread and disagreed with everyone who was a Mother or Grandmother who was estranged, because of her perceived bad childhood.

I can say hand on heart she would not trouble me and I would post what I want. If her and her mates targeted me, I would not care,if Gransnet banned me so be it.

She had tunnel vision, could be nasty, and frankly a bit weird In my opinion. Post what you like and don't let a pita stop you. She does not control gransnet. If this post is reported so be it. I will either be deleted or suspended, but no one on here will stop me dying what I like.

That was only one back story and personna.

There have been many others all different.

But like many well known and successful authors, in creating the stories there are recurrent themes and a familiarity of approach albeit in different settings.

Because it is all fiction fr this persistent poster.

I'm not 'bothered' by VS, but I have seen her in action, and if she was, indeed, Poster X, I would absolutely believe her capable of targeting another poster.

I wish I hadn't posted now, but it's too late to take it back. I know that it's not just me who feels out of the loop, and wanted to (as I saw it) set the record straight for others who feel likewise.

Out of the loop is an understatement.

I don't see VS in this, she was on about wrong estrangements, or so it would seem. It was hard for her to see two sides and it's a slightly emotive topic, imo.

No, it made me smile . I haven't been called that since I was a little girl - my father used to say it.

Equating VioletSky with estrangement and thinking it has nothing to do with Alliras ban is a false step.

In her many different personas all that matters is an issue where people hold different opinions and feel strongly.

Could be estrangement for one persona, race issues for another, gender issues in another persona, even lockdowns.

The point is to present herself as wise, tolerant and virtuous whilst winding up other posters to make a injudicious remark that can be reported as injurious to her as a person and therefore breaching guidelines.

There are posters like that on any site but not usually thise who are so tolerated by HQ and who return so often in many different guises

Years ago I remember a lovely Russian cake that had pink icing. There was some alcohol in it probably rum. No idea what it was called but it tasted lovely.

I haven't seen VS on here for some time. She was always on the Estrangement threads mostly I think.

Oh boy. I've missed a lot it seems. I never used to go in the Estrangement threads but I have seen other posts by VS. So are people thinking it's her/him who has made this totally unnecessary trouble for poor Allira? I'm still waiting to hear from her but expect she's busy with her family. I sincerely hope she's having a great time them.

Doddledog isn't going to report me it was meant with fondness and reporting is not her style.

Dad was a Northerner, yes. For those who don't know, 'nugget' is an affectionate term, much like numpty, or daftie. I used to think he meant the confectionery, as he pronounced that in the same way.

(I very rarely report, and I answer to anything but abuse )
