I’m amazed at the few posters who have come onto a thread which is about a lot of us missing a poster/posters to more or less say ‘we don’t care’. Tho they have every right to say it….just why would they?
If I didn’t care that a poster had been banned then I would give that thread a miss.
It’s just unpleasant imo.

Oh dear. This thread is now toxic.
I suspect that these negative posters must be jealous of the loyalty most of us have for a dear friend on here.
I've certainly lost faith in Gransnet and how it's moderated but not in most of the posters

How wrong you are. I would be surprised if anyone was jealous. I go on mumsnt, gransnet and once a week you tube. Social media is a small part of my life.

I have a life outside social media, friends, a partner whose company I enjoy. Adult children, Grandchildren and I go out often. I am not jealous of anyone close to me or people I know in R/L so why would I or anyone else for that matter be jealous of people we don't know and in my case I will never meet. I know some of you meet up and exchange emails but I suspect alot will not. Honestly I don't know why you think that.

I agree that you are showing loyalty to your friend but calling other posters who are not vocal jealous, is not very nice.

Jealousy is a horrible destructive emotion and is not appropriate to posters who put another perspective on a thread.

I know emotions are running high but no one who has expressed a alternate POV has said anything bad about Allira.

There has been plenty of denigrating of other posters on GN in many posts on the A threads. There has also been much negative discussion and speculation about evil reporters and plots to get A banned. Criticising all of that is not denigrating your support for A but the way in which some of you have set about demonstrating that support. The idea of spamming other posts was selfish and irritating and actually alienated people who supported A’s reinstatement. The fact that you think you’ve done nothing wrong and are bandying around words like jealousy and saying it was a pleasant thread before criticisms started is patently not true. And demonstrates how in the opinion of some of us how far removed from reality parts of this thread have become. This thread can demonstrate support without criticising other posters and rubbishing the rest of GN.

And a final point ( for tonight) there was no intrusion on this thread until your idea to intrude on other threads. Can’t you take any responsibility at all for the chain of events?
