After the sun, the rain🎶

We had a giant hailstorm in Wiltshire - it's broken 2 window panes, punched holes in my bin storage units, and dented lots of cars (1 neighbour has already had his written off) - we are waiting on what out insurer says for our 71 reg Evoque which has dents in every panel - my planters and garden are decimated (looks like the aftermath of a tornado) and the cat is very clingy having been out in it until he was called in at 2 am. Neighbours are all in a similar position many have damage to conservatories & greenhouses - it was very localised to our immediate area (one lady across our road only took delivery of her new car the previous day - it's full of dents! The thunder & lightening was very dramatic and the hail biblical!

Yes, stopped now but back tommorow for about 9 days is our forecast. I dont mind too much.

Up north have had a couple of hot days, now it's very windy and a lot cooler so I think we have had summer now here. I love hot weather but the sub dosn't like me

No rain here in Berkshire. I wish it was I'm fed up with watering the garden and it's still as dry as a deserting

I wish you could edit. I hadn't finished my message and it went! About time they sorted it out. I kept getting that spinning wheel and the next thing I knew it had gone and I hadn't sent it.

Rain? What rain?

In my part of north Bristol, we had one solitary clap of thunder miles away, then rain for no more than 5 seconds! It would be nice to have some rain.

My part of London desperately needs rain. Even when some had rain a week ago I was obviously at the edge of the raincloud because two streets away they got some, me? not a drop! It's forecast for next week but I shan't hold my breath.

I'm not far from Bristol, felt like rain this am but in the end we had about 50 raindrops for the whole garden.

31C in the shade here, lower than previous days. However up near the English Channel, Normandy, they have had hailstones 5cm in diameter.

Yesterday I wore a sundress with no cardi to meet friends for lunch. Today I need a jumper and trousers and rain jacket to go to the shops. Temperature has dropped substantially. Such is life in Central Scotland!

Downpour in Leeds yesterday. We’re off to Northern Ireland for 2 weeks from today with most of the family visiting while we’re there. The forecast is for rain and thunder storms every day we’re there- 100% chance of rain most of the time😨
Presently trying to find wet weather activities for 3 small children, 2 babies and 6 probably grumpy adults.
I keep flitting between different weather apps hoping to find a more favourable one.

London/ Essex borders we had a few drops mid morning, I was sitting outside with a friend and we were willing it to rain more but nothing very close and cloudy though so 🤞

I escaped 32C on Tuesday to Sweden where its 16/17C, our pre heatwave temperature! Sheer bliss. Spent first day catching up on lost sleep!

Rain 'promised' in North Gloucestershire, but we have not had one drop.

No rain here in the north east of Scotland but some dark clouds.

No rain here, still hot but very bearable now as there’s a breeze.

After Tuesday’s horrendous thundery downpour, it has been dry and warm here in South Yorkshire. Cooler today with cloud building. Next week will be wet. I was putting some plants in this afternoon. Doesn’t seem to be a drop of moisture in the soil.

We’ve been doing rain dances here in East London. Nothing forecast till next week.

I learned this hymn in infant school way back in the 1960s. I had it at my wedding as it was one I always liked. I'm not religious but it reminded me of happy times at school ☺️

Woke up to grey skies and a cool breeze this morning. Rain promised but none arrived and now sun beating down again.
