Where's the yogurts

Everytime I go shopping it's the same, the search for a fruit yogurt. I find the flippy ones, protein ones, ones for cholesterol but just no tart tangy ones

I only buy the organic natural ones. They are much healthier and versatile, and the food manufacturers have cottoned on to realising that's what people want.

The tart, tangy ones are up around Holmfirth / Huddersfield - the Longley farm lemon yoghurts are to die for.
Sadly, I haven't lived in that area for many years, and can no longer find any near to where I live now.

I buy a natural yogurt now and just add my own ‘whatever’ if you put fresh or frozen berries in the microwave for a bit and add it can make it tarty

I buy Oykos fruit yoghurts, Tesco.

Yes this is true, you can get them in asda if you are in Yorkshire.

You can get them in Morrisons up there too. I would often treat myself to one (or more) whenever staying a few days with my mother, but since last autumn she no longer lives there, and it is quite likely that I will never get to visit the area again, or to buy my favourite yoghurt again. 😔

I also find it hard just to find a good fruit yogurt. I generally get a vanilla flavoured yogurt and then add my own fruit. Have never taken to natural yogurt even with honey added. But I can recall when there was much more choice of fruit yogurts.
Not sure what happened.

My favourite at the moment. In a couple of the big supermarkets here.

I buy a large tub of Greek yogurt and eat it with some lemon curd stirred in.

Grandmabatty Mon 18-May-26 09:43:27

I have raspberry yoghurt from aldi which are lovely

M and S Greek yogurt with mango and passion fruit is lovely. Only available in a large pot though.

Try Yeo Valley organic raspberry keffir Yoghourt. I’ve just had one this morning and it was lovely and tangy, just like they used to be when they first arrived here back in the 60’s. Now so many are jam packed with sugar.

NotSpaghetti Mon 18-May-26 09:49:36

I only buy plain yogurt but Yeo Valley do fruit ones - including lemononrs and blackberry ones.
Some of the more upmarket ones are apparently tangy - usually in glass jars.

I had a Morrisons "the best" sicilian lemon about a year ago which was good.

They definitely are out there!

Allira Mon 18-May-26 09:52:29

I like the small pots of Yeo Valley fruit yogurts but they are becoming more difficult to find, apart from the kefir ones which I dislike.

rowyn Mon 18-May-26 13:42:52

And you can get them in Asda in Berkshire too. Lemon one is good, as is black cherry, but seem to be missing my favorite recently -ginger !

They had great yoghurts and fromage frais in Dordogne. Sadly not in UK.

Oykos ....

What an incredible co-incidence!
I'm just enjoying one of these as I read

Salted Caramel today.
Lemon yesterday.
So delicious.

I check the ingredients and avoid anything with sugar / artificial sweeteners. Mostly now, i eat Kefir yoghurt and add maple syrup (Yes. I know, but it's not artificial and I don't add much)

Vintagegirl Mon 18-May-26 14:33:09

Aldi

silverlining48 Mon 18-May-26 14:40:36

Have been buying kefir yog from Aldi but haven’t had it in these last two weeks.

Bonne Maman, the jam makers, have just brought out a range of gorgeous fruit yoghurts. I had rhubarb and strawberry yesterday and it was lovely!

silverlining48 Mon 18-May-26 14:56:47

Did you notice the sugar content shoppingirl?

poppysmum Mon 18-May-26 15:28:14

readsalot Mon 18-May-26 16:13:37

I buy plain yoghurt and add fruit, often frozen.
