Good morning from a glorious day on the South Downs. Another day like yesterday, where we went for a walk high up near Chanctonbury Ring, overlooking both the Sussex Weald and the sea. It was picture perfect, with stunning blue skies, lambs gambolling and skylarks proving how much better they are than Vaughan Williams 😄. Later we dipped down into Steyning for lunch.
Today housework. DH has chiropodist. So just a quick local walk and a bit of gardening - hopefully.
The birds are all busy feeding their young although they haven’t yet fledged, but once they do there will be chaos in the garden for a few short weeks with the rowdy youngsters demanding food and more food at the tops of their voices. The parents are busy cleaning up the roses etc of all the aphids to feed the young.
I’m nearly at the end of clearing the garden after winter. It has taken me weeks and weeks, as I decided to be really thorough in all the cutting back, pruning and digging over, but it has paid off as the garden is looking good now. Just one area to go more or less then finished and back to my normal summer routine of weekly weeding, cutting and feeding. DH has a cucumber ready to cut - he sowed them back in Jan/Feb I think and tomatoes that will be ripening soon. So a lovely time in the garden.
Chelsea on - what more could I want😄😄.
Enjoy your day all
Peace and harmony to our world.
