Good morning from a bright and sunny Black Country.

Summer must be here as we put our Gazebo up yesterday, just lovely to sit outside in the shade it gives, as our patio is in full sun most of the day.

We had a BBQ last night, and probably one tonight also. Must make the most of this weather whilst it lasts.

Monday walk this morning, then line dancing this afternoon.

Good morning from an overcast NE yet again.
It was grey and miserable all day yesterday so I watched a lot of TV. I watched Where the crawdads sing on Netflix, I had seen it at the cinema with DS but it was quite a while ago.
Today I am going to Harrods for a consultation with a fragrance expert who will help me find the perfect perfume. This was arranged by DD as a birthday treat and she will accompany me before she returns to Brussels tomorrow.
Thoughts are with Doodle.

Morning all from West Oxfordshire.
Usual trip to Waitrose. Bits of WI admin. It is never ending. I do hope someone will take over from me next year!
Our new cleaner will be here later. OH is playing croquet with the U3A this afternoon.
I will ring the dentist when I get up. I knocked a crown out yesterday. I have a checkup on Wednesday so should let them know to allow extra time.
I also need to finish sorting out my elder two children’s birthday presents. They were born two years apart on 22 May, which was also my grandmother’s birthday!

Morning from a sunny S Hants, a repeat of yesterday perhaps where we had a sudden heavy squall about 8pm, we lost the TV signal for a few minutes.
Voluntary phone today, quiz tonight, in between bits and bobs of housework and admin.
Doodle is in my thoughts.

Good morning from the Algarve where we are enjoying our special place once again. We have had a slow start this morning and about to have toast and jam on the balcony watching the golfers. Very peaceful and tranquil. Then plan to walk down to the marina for lunch before retiring for a read on the sunbed so really just another relaxing day. It will soon be chaos here when the DGC arrive but we looking forward to it

Good morning from a cloudy Hessle after a weekend of lovely warm sunshine. We are off home to Suffolk after breakfast by train via Ipswich to collect our dog. She loves staying there with DS and family and will,no doubt,be exhausted and ready for her usual routine at home.

Since both of us stopped driving long distances a couple of years ago,we came by train….long journey with 3 changes but all ran on time,so hoping for the same in reverse later this morning.

DGD5,aged 7’s dance show was great. There were 2 shows on Saturday and Sunday so she must be exhausted. DD expecting an explosion of tears at bedtime tonight. There were over 220 children taking part and the whole thing was arranged incredibly efficiently…..separate entrances for different ages into the University theatre, coloured lanyards in case some got lost and chaperones in abundance for the younger ones to help with costume changes etc.

If the NHS were managed so efficiently, we might all feel safer. About to read your posts so hope all have had a good weekend and are looking foreard to a pleasant week. Thinking of those for whom life is difficult at the moment.

Grey start but we are promised another fine day so a bit of washing down outside paintwork I think. Flower arranging club this evening but the subject is well beyond me so will admire and carry round coffee I think. I am still of the persuasion that just wants the flowers to be the stars rather than the “mechanics”.

Thank you very much for your kind messages regarding my DiL’s accident. It meant a lot to me. She isn’t quite as black and blue as she was but has a painful neck, shoulders, back and hips so will probably need physio at some point.

School pickup today for DGD3 today. No signs of scarlet fever from her thankfully. I’m having quite a bad time with BPPV at the moment.

Another sunny day here to enjoy today.

Good morning all from the Scottish Borders where it's not very warm at all.
A plant swap yesterday and I came home with some squash seedlings and a josterberry bush. I was busy making slug beer traps as I planted them out. I resisted tomatoes 🍅. They need so much attention and the result, though delicious, isn't worth the effort here.

The film was "Are you there God, this is Margaret" a charming coming of age story.

Escape pain clinic today. This is mostly for those of us on waiting lists for spare parts.

I am very sad for Doodle and her family. Sending hugs to her.

Such a lucky escape Glammagran you will all be in shock.

Good morning Mick and all from cloudy Lancashire, currently 13°C. The sun is trying to come out.

The weather has been glorious this weekend, such a pleasant change. Everywhere is looking so green. Today I will be changing bedding and if I’m not too tired after that a woodland walk and a little river watching.

Lovely to read so many of your posts about gardening and sunshine, it has seemed like a long and dreary winter.

There are some very yellow choisya in the shrubs around the nearby dockside apartments GrandMattie. They are a cheerful sight.

I’m glad you’ve been able to get some enjoyment from the summerhouse at last Roses.

Blossoming, my day is disintegrating as I write.
No communication from clinician, phoned provider, no-one could help. Then phone call to say it was cancelled due to illness, advised I couldn't start treatment unless supervised, in case I suffered anaphylaxis 😱.
New date end of May. Phoned hospital for help, half an hour later, a specialist nurse phoned me back. Telephone appointment tomorrow to sort things out, that is service indeed.

To top it all, I have accidently deleted WhatsApp from my phone, when trying to authenticate an audit I was doing for the Diocese. All the childmiding etc. is on it. I could weep!

It may be advisable for His Lordship to play another round of golf.

I know others have so much worse to contend with, I should count my blessings.

Good morning Mick and all from a clouding over northwest coast.
I washed down my pretty pale green outside shutters yesterday but before that, couldn’t find the ladder! Eventually found an old wooden ladder in the garden room. Sat in the sunshine reading Beverley Nichol’s amusing memoirs and my gardening helper arrived. I do love this weather.

Today will organise songs for tomorrow’s music club. Its not my turn to be on the desk in charge, so it’s more relaxing.

Good morning from West Sussex by the sea. Last day of sun but no relaxing for us as we set off in our camper van tomorrow. We are planning to have at least one overnight stop on the way to Scotland but the forecast is dismal for northern parts. I am so not ready to go - we got carried away sowing seeds (squashes, courgettes and tomatoes) and not all are ready to plant out. Some are coming with us and may end up in DD2’s garden if she wants them.

Marydoll, I hope you get sorted out with your treatment tomorrow. I wish my DH played golf 😂
I’d better go and put some coffee on and maybe that will sort my brain out!

Hope the telephone appointment sorts things out and you can start treatment Marydoll, there have been times in the past when I’d have happily risked death by painkillers overdose just to make it all stop hurting!

I must have looked very weary this morning as MrB made me a cup of tea then took a load of my ‘clutter’ from the latest clear out to the tip! He has just emptied the washing machine and hung out the washing, this is unheard of
