Living in the moment

That is a lovely quote and so true. Due to family circumstances I am very tearful and unhappy, however I am trying to follow the quote and have just forced myself to eat.
I am hoping things get better.
I realise time goes so quickly.

DH and I are sitting on the sofa, watching telly, Granddog is curled up between us.

That's so sad Primrose but I'm sure he's remembered even if a cautionary tale.
DH died nearly 3 years ago and I miss him but at least we had a few years together when we hoped the chemo might keep him for us a bit longer, and it did.
We didn't call it a bucket list but we did several things we'd always meant to do.
No regrets.

I am very sorry for you the grans who are suffering right now. We have had a rough year and it’s left its mark leaving me especially sensitive.
Foxygloves this post does give you food for thought yes we all have our bad times but there is always something that brings a smile. My smiles came today spending it with my lovely GC.

Very wise words. The last year of my mum's life I spent a lot of time keeping her house clean. How I wish I had spent more time just sitting with her.

It's a difficult balance - hard to 'relax' with your mother if there were things that needed doing. Maybe she appreciated the comfort of living in a clean house though.

I printed this out for my children, when they were dashing around.

I thought of that poem so often when I was working. Now I’m retired the time to stop and stare, to appreciate each season, is a priceless gift.

A few years ago I saw a bench dedicated to a young person who had sadly passed away. it just said

"No one knows how the day will end"

It had such a profound effect on me, I often think of it.
