How do you organise your wardrobe?

My wardrobe has a ‘short’ side with shelves under it where I hang shirts, tops and underneath bags including a carryon bag and my holiday wash bags. The other part is long dresses, short dresses, jeans, trousers and a couple of jackets and shoes in the bottom. My other coats and jackets live in the spare room wardrobe.

Three short sections containing shirts/tops, trousers and suits separately. One long section for formal dresses and coats. Works wonderfully for me.

Three double wardrobes one has tops in colour order I rotate long sleave and vest tops by using storage bags in the top of the wardrobe and short sleeves are worn all seasons.
One wardrobe for skirts and trousers rotate ends depending on season.
One wardrobe for dresses and cardigans.
Jackets and coats in a large storage hanging rail in our office covered by floor to ceiling sliding doors
Shoes in boxes at the bottom of the wardrobes handbags stored top and bottom of wardrobes.
Loads of room since children left home.
I use velvet slim hangers and drop storage hangers.

I try to be organised but the word hectic comes to mind. I do separate my winter clothes though even if for just a few months.

I know mine needs a good going through and a sort out, big breath needed and a free morning , if it is raining tomorrow and I remember 😂

I live on my own so can be messy as I like tho its nice to be tidy.

Wardrobe in my daughters old room: clothes for special occasions. Doubt if I’ll ever wear any of them again or if they even fit me. Wardrobe in my room. Clothes sorted into sections: winter tunics, summer tunics, sweaters, t shirts. I sometimes wear some of the tunics and the t shirts. Airing cupboard door: pretty much everything I wear on a regular basis. Hook on bedroom door: the rest of the stuff I wear on a regular basis.

I am organised enough to put woollens in the camphorwood chest. Everything else has to fight for space.

I have a wardrobe with a central door. Opposite the door are hangers with complete outfits hung on them: trousers/skirt with the tops I wear with them. One end are 'occasional' outfits - the track suit I wear when feeling ill or low, things like that. At the other end are 'specials'. Evening and special event dresses etc. I keep all out of season clothes in another wardrobe.

And that is it, really. Each morning I take the next item in the room off the rail, based on the weather, decide how many top layers to wear and off I go. In the evening some items go to the wash, others back at the end of the row.

The thought of having to wake in the morning and make decisions about what clothes to wear, utterly appalls me. I do that in two big sessions every year when I sort out the next seasons clothes out, move them around, chuck or keep-in-store for a season or two and decide what items I would like to buy and that's it.

I often tell myself I ought to organise my wardrobes (original one plus a lot hanging in 2 spare room wardrobes) especially when there’s something that takes ages to find.

But I have yet to actually do it. Pure laziness and CBA.
I’m sure a lot could go straight to charity shops.

Summer things do usually go in one particular wardrobe, but I still find ‘rogues’.

My wardrobe has trousers to the left, then t shirts, arranged in colours, then long sleeved tops and then hoodie, top layers and woollens.

Coats on a rail in the hall, 'best' (ie rarely worn) clothes in the wardrobe in a spare room.

Summer clothes all now in the two wardrobes in my bedroom (one was late DH's); winter clothes now in wardrobes in two of the spare bedrooms. Posh long frocks in DD's old wardrobe; coats and jackets on rail in the smallest bedroom.
Summer clothes divided into dresses, trousers/ jeans in my wardrobe; DH's old wardrobe has t-shirts, tops and shirts, woollies and shorts on shelves at the side.

I am lucky to have so much space!

I've two double wardrobes and sort by colour, blue/grey on one side and brown/beige/cream on t'other. At each side I've hanging shelves which contain long-sleeved tops on top shelf, short-sleeved below so I can just put my hand in and know what I'm going to get, as it were.

Everything is colour-coordinated so it's a case of make a decision and just grab and go to hopefully save time. Before buying new I ask myself if it will coordinate with anything.

It's not perfect by any means. Bras are folded inside any matching pants and literally thrown in the bottom of the wardrobe. Bottom shelves contain a few shows and bags of which there aren't many.

Apart from winter and summer swapping, my wardrobes are completely disorganised.

Don’t bother sorting winter/summer clothes, although the spare bedroom wardrobe has mainly summer clothes. The very thought of my clothes makes me feel confused. I was/am a professional singer, which complicates it even more.
I have just cleared the ubiquitous ‘chair’ in the bedroom, and am gazing at a floordrobe..
However, I usually put together the previous night what I am wearing the following day, which is something!

I don't have a wardrobe any longer. I keep the clothes I wear daily in large plastic boxes with lids. A habit we got into while sailing.

Dress clothes live in dress bags in an old-fashioned railway trunk.

When I did have a wardrobe I hung things up where there was room for them, On the shelves I had a shelf for woollies, one for blouses and t-shirts and one for underskirts. Other underwear was in three drawers under the shelves.

I have never felt the inclination to hang clothes up or divide them into colours when they are clean and dry, only before they are washed.

However, I can see the satisfaction in opening a cupboard and seeing everything neat and tidy, but I reserve such satisfaction for my china closet and kitchen cupboards.

Regrettably

I don’t have a wardrobe. T shirts and jeans/chinos/trousers is all I wear so they are housed in chests of drawers/washing basket/ironing basket.
