Bath or shower - lighthearted!

It's a bath every time for me.

The only time I shower is in hotels or holiday lets as I can't stand the idea of the people that have been in there before me!

I'm odd I know!

I only ever have a bath at home although we do also have a shower. I use the shower very unwillingly when on holiday or on a cruise ship. I’ve never liked the feeling of water on my face which comes from many years of wearing glasses for severe short sight. I can see so much better since my cataract operations but still hate showering!

I was lying in the bath a while ago, reading my book, when my five year old grandson came in. He put his elbows on the side of the bath, head in hands and studied me, floating boobs and tummy. I waited for The Comment - “ The problem is, how to keep your book dry”

I used to find a bath really relaxing. Now on the very rare occasions when I have one, I spend my time worrying whether I will be able to get out or if the fire brigade will need to be called.

I have a bath, but don’t use it for obvious reasons. The shower is not the walk-in type. I would like to replace it with one of those, but money and upheaval !!!!

I find it hard to get in or out of my bath, so opt for the shower. I can't lift my feet in the shower to wash them, though, as I fear I might lose my balance. After I am washed and dried, I then have to sit on the settee and wash my feet in a bowl. What a performance!

I like a bath, DH likes a shower. We are both 84.

This is what we did. Our combined loo and bathroom is 6ft x 10 ft and we just had the space to put a shower on the same long wall as the loo, and a perspex screen between.

We have a bath once a week on a Sunday morning so the bathtub gets a clean. I sit there with a face pack and hair pack and discuss the week to come with DH. But I need a shower when I get out, having sat in my own soup.

It is handy to put the DGC in for a happy half hour though.

I love a bath. I have the radio on and keep topping up with hot water. A shower is just for speed if I’m going out or need to be quick.
