I live in a town, and was walking out at 8am to pick up some shopping, and while I have heard that some mums do this I’ve never actually seen it, but there in front of me three mums in full pjs walking along with their children quite happy, no coats, I felt overdressed I must admit!
So many more important to worry about currently, that is true. However, I can't help but wonder if this could happen anywhere else than the UK or the US?

Perhaps we have better pyjamas here. And onesies.
Oh dear!
MissA - ah well, at least it was not on show. First time ever I heard a positive point about the burka!
Many years ago (1970s) I was staying with friends in Morocco when I became ill and needed to visit a doctor. My friend lent me one of her djelabbas (long hooded gown) to wear on top of my night clothes so I would not need to get dressed. We went by taxi. She assured me the doctor would not mind. He was western trained and spoke fluent English but did not appear in the least surprised.
Also visited my own GP wearing a kaftan under a coat for a leg injection and she did not bat an eyelid. However it is a multi ethnic practice in a very diverse area. Some patients are fully veiled but they may well have on nightwear underneath.
How good it is in this world of economic crisis, war in Ukraine, nuclear threats from Putin, catastrophic floods in Pakistan and climate change, that stressing about what other people wear on the school run can still feature in anybody’s thinking.
We are allowed muse on other things. I'm sure there are many threads running at the moment about non serious issues. This is chat, not News and Politics.

This comment has had me in stiches for the last couple of days. There has been so much talk in last few years since Brexit about British exceptionalism, and I will use this example whenever the subjext comes up. Just Brilliant, thanks, LOL.

That’s me tell’t. Musing yes, pearl clutching, no. .
I’m still in my dressing gown and un-showered, but for once have the excuse that I’ve already made a cake and soup for lunch, since guests arriving by train at 1.15. About to go and make myself presentable and sweet-smelling, though. (In the interests of truth will add that I don’t usually have any such excuse!)
I too am still in my pyjamas, but I’m at home and it’s Sunday morning and I had my flu vaccine yesterday and I’m not quite firing on all cylinders. However I’m going to get myself ready soon and go to son’s house for lunch. I would never go out in my pyjamas and I don’t possess a onesie. I love wearing my pyjamas at home in the evening and often in the morning too.
