A late check in from me. Nippy outside in London.
Sitting in the cafe at Tate Britain waiting to go into the Don McCullin exhibition. Might do the Van Gogh too but as it's the first day it will be heaving! Wishing you all a pleasant day.

Morning Michael. It's a lovely sunny day in North Devon but a bit chilly. It's also my daughters' birthday today. Not doing much except I'll get the hoover and duster out sometime as we are having a visitor tomorrow.

crazyH Wed 27-Mar-19 11:23:58

Goodmorning Mick and everyone......beautiful sunny day here, but a bit nippy .

Good morning everyone. I know it's late but I wanted to send my condolences to Harris. I too lost my mum to dementia and I remember that phone call well. I know you have probably been grieving for your mum for a long time but it doesn't make it any easier.
I'm off to stay with DD1 and 3 DGD'S tomorrow and just heard that the 3 year old has come down with chicken pox. Poor little mite.
Have a good day everyone.

Grammaretto Wed 27-Mar-19 09:43:42

Good morning all from the Scottish Borders. Where has the sun gone!
Sorry to hear your sad news Harris
It always comes as a shock to lose someone so close. I found becoming an orphan hard and still find myself dialling her number occasionally.
Blessed release for her.
The car's getting MOT'd today. I hope she passes.
I am introducing a new volunteer to the community garden.

NanKate Wed 27-Mar-19 09:40:07

Thanks for all the kind words and advice. DGS is a regular visitor to the doctors and gets good support. He is the easiest of patients never complains just gets on with it. He has just been sick and then says Can I have the IPad and now he is tucked up on the sofa awaiting his daddy's return.

Good morning from an overcast Birmingham. Still snuffling a bit, and have an annoying cough. My plans went awry yesterday after an early phone call from my daughter asking me to look after my garandson, who was too ill to go to nursery. I’m taking over after lunch today so she can work from home and not have to use up holiday allocation.
Poor little chap spent most of yesterday asleep, and was really not interested in food.
Condolences to Harris, and best wishes to everyone who is under the weather today.

Good morning - still very overcast here in Leicestershire.

I am so sorry for the loss of your mother Harris flowers.

I hope your dad's pain is nothing to worry about Urmston.

It would have been my parents 74 the wedding anniversary today but my dad died in the summer and my mum has such severe dementia she has no idea now he even existed. So sad.

Easy day today after prolonged visit to the hospital yesterday to be told ECG was fine and keep taking the tablets. It would seem this will happen every two weeks.

Anniebach Wed 27-Mar-19 08:55:24

Good morning Auntyflo and all x

Hope everyone has a good day x

Mythbirtthedragon Wed 27-Mar-19 08:46:54

Good morning from east London-grey but the forecast says it will warm up. Tennis this morning, off to see a friend this afternoon (she will get her Christmas cake before Easter) and then a bit of 'alternative' theatre tonight. Have a good day everyone.

Harris, my condolences on your loss. There'll be another star in the sky tonight.

EllanVannin Wed 27-Mar-19 08:45:21

Good morning All x.
First of all, how sad it is to receive " that phone-call ", condolences to you.

Not sure what the weather wants to do today but the cloud could clear later. Not too cold though.
Still looks as though a bomb's dropped in my living room with half the kitchen contents in it. I'm getting brassed off with it now waiting for work to start.

Hope everyone's day goes as planned.

lovebeigecardigans1955 Wed 27-Mar-19 08:36:26

Morning all from a slightly dull South Notts. Off to town in a couple of hours for a few bits and pieces. Hope all is well.
flowers Harris
Hope you get plenty zzzzz NanKate

Good morning from a chilly, grey Aberdeenshire.
The wee car was collected yesterday and the driver was about 25 stone...talk about a quart in a pint pot!
The mutt and I are off to the woods again this morning...he does like to meet and have a romp with all his new pals. Then home via the fish shop as he loves a bit of crispy fish skin in his dinner. I hate it, yukk. We are so lucky to get super fresh fish...it only comes 16 miles from Peterhead and was probably swimming in the North Sea yesterday. Beats supermarket rubbish any time.
Have a good day everyone.

Pittcity Wed 27-Mar-19 08:27:05

Good morning from a grey skied Colchester.
DGS2 is here again, still spotty but much chirpier than yesterday. Will leave him with DH for a couple of hours while I go to Wednesday meetup in town....dreading the chaos I will return to.
Big hugs to all who need it especially Harris xx

Greyduster Wed 27-Mar-19 08:26:31

Good morning, Michael and all GNs. A bit dreary at the mo in South Yorkshire but I think it will brighten. Not sure what is on the agenda. Harris? so sorry to hear about your mother. Take it easy everyone.

Marydoll Wed 27-Mar-19 08:03:39

Good morning all from a breezy Glasgow.

Harris, my condolences, I went through the same with my mother, Alzheimers is indeed a terrible condition, you must be exhausted. Although I was sad, I felt that she was at peace at last. flowers

NanaKate, I can empathise with you. Your poor wee grandson must be exhausted with the coughing.
My three children and myself and now my wee grandadughter are all asthmatics and from reading what you have described, I wondered if it would be wise to take your wee grandson to the doctor, especially if there is no improvemnt and he is not responding to the inhalers. Asthma attacks can be very distressing.
Remember, Kate, you also need to look after yourself too.

I'm off out to lunch today with my ex colleagues, where we will talk for Scotland and set the world to rights!
I have held off telling them by text that another ex colleague has terminal cancer, diagnosed only a few weeks ago. However, she is failing fast, so I must update them.

Have a good day, all.

harrigran Wed 27-Mar-19 07:51:38

Good morning, overcast here too.
DD is fifty today but sadly won't get to see her as she lives abroad. DH and I are going out for lunch and will raise a glass to her.
My condolences to you Harris27.

ninathenana Wed 27-Mar-19 07:45:19

Morning all.
Grey start in Kent, hopefully we will see the sun later.
Blood test this morning after I've dropped DH at a job. Not unusal to queue for 45-60 mins at the Hospital.

Have a good day everyone.

kittylester Wed 27-Mar-19 07:45:02

Morning all from an overcast North Leicestershire.

I am feeling a lot better today and almost recovered from the gastric flu. Apparently our internet was transferred on Monday but they couldn't let us know as they didn't have our mobile numbers!confused

kate I hope you get a chance to recover and rest while the boys are at school. DH is doing my school run this evening.

harris, flowers

Morning Mick, morning All from our bright, sunny corner of Somerset. Today it’s stage 1 in preparation for decorating next week. The sort out begins. Not looking forward to any of it but has to be done. Condolences harris, you sound exhausted, Alzheimer’s is truly a devastating disease, please care for yourself and rest if you can. Sounds a rough night nankate, your grandson may well be brighter than you are today. Hope Wednesday is kind to everyone.

BlueSapphire Wed 27-Mar-19 07:39:34

Good morning everyone from a grey and dull Northampton.

Book club this morning, then a quick visit to Sainsbury's/M&S Food.

DGDs staying over tonight as their mum and dad are going out, and I will need to feed them, so we are having Bolognese.

Sincere condolences to you Harris, your mum is now at rest.

Trust the day goes well.
