Good Morning Wednesday
(40 Posts)Good Morning everyone.
Dry and a bit cloudy but looks like it will be a nice day.
DH Birthday today (would have been, still is to me) so DD and I are going to Bath.
Hope you all have a lovely day ???
Morning Mick and All.
Had a very disrupted night with our youngest DGS who has an awful cough. It’s been a case of calpol, inhalers and general tlc. His dad returns from Germany today so hopefully that will perk the little lad up. I shall need to sleep in the day as I am jiggered, DH seems to cope better with lack of sleep than I do. Well better get back to my Nurse Nightgale duties.
Good morning from Lancashire. Hope the good weather continues I would like to do some gardening today.
Hope your dgs is better soon NanKate, so many people have this cough.
Have a good day everyone.
Morning all! It's another lovely sunny morning here on the south coast. Next week's forecast sounds a bit iffy though.
Sorry to hear about your little DGS Kate. It always seems worse during the dark hours. Hope he improves and you catch some zzzzzzzz today. Are you in your nurse's uniform?
DH is going out with his cycling club and I have choir this evening so we shall not see a lot of each other. I shall have a pottering day. Something always turns up that needs attention.
Hope the day is a good one for us all.
Morning All
A grey, still morning here in the north of Norfolk.
Hair appointment today. I'm having highlights. White bits to "enliven" the blotchy grey. I'm not sure how my hairdresser persuaded me into it and I doubt anyone will notice the difference.
Good morning from ne. Watched the sun come up as I've been up all night as we got the call our dear mum was nearing her end she has gone and we are sad but she is free of the terrible disease alzeheimers. God bless anyone else going through this awful time x
Harris for your sadnesss. I know exactly that feeling of grief and relief for the one who has gone. It is a year since my 96 year old Mum gently slipped away.
Have a good day everyone x
Sincere Condolences Harris ,even though it is a happy release , it is hard to say that final goodbye xxx
Condolences too from me Harris - my own lovely mum died aged 86y last March so my heart goes out to you today.
It’s a promising start to Wednesday here in South Manchester. No plans apart from taking my father to a GP appointment this morning. I know dad is anxious what his pain is.
Hope your little grandchild is better when he sees his daddy later NanKate and you can step down a rest up.
Good morning all from a slightly grey E. Northants. I think it is going to get better as the day goes on. Ladies archery this morning followed by AGM, coffee and lots of discussion. Harris
Good morning Mick and everyone. Beautiful sunny morning here on S Welsh coast.
Hope your GS is better soon NanKate
Condolences Harris27 we went through a similar loss a couple of months ago. A release, but a very sad time for you nevertheless. ?
Urmston hope all goes well with your DF's appointment today
Good morning from a cloudy Black Country.
Had an enjoyable day in Birmingham yesterday, with Mum and Niece. Even bought 2 summer tops.
Today I am meeting friends for lunch near Solihull.

Good Morning all from a nice start in Fife. Condolences Harris, so sad, it’s a terrible disease
. Nankate a cough always seems to be far worse through the night I hope you all recover quickly. Have our DGC today so will hopefully be out and busy most of the day. . Take care everyone.
Good morning from the NE coast. It’s a bit overcast at the minute but promises of it brightening up later this morning. It really doesn’t matter as I am off to “that place” soon after the school runs anyway.
So sorry to hear that your mum has died Harris27 Alzheimer’s really is a cruel disease.
Hope your little grandson is feeling better soon NanKate I always feel so helpless when they are poorly.
Have a good Wednesday everyone x
Good morning everyone from a grey and dull Northampton.
Book club this morning, then a quick visit to Sainsbury's/M&S Food.
DGDs staying over tonight as their mum and dad are going out, and I will need to feed them, so we are having Bolognese.
Sincere condolences to you Harris, your mum is now at rest.
Trust the day goes well.
Morning Mick, morning All from our bright, sunny corner of Somerset. Today it’s stage 1 in preparation for decorating next week. The sort out begins. Not looking forward to any of it but has to be done. Condolences harris, you sound exhausted, Alzheimer’s is truly a devastating disease, please care for yourself and rest if you can. Sounds a rough night nankate, your grandson may well be brighter than you are today. Hope Wednesday is kind to everyone.
Morning all from an overcast North Leicestershire.
I am feeling a lot better today and almost recovered from the gastric flu. Apparently our internet was transferred on Monday but they couldn't let us know as they didn't have our mobile numbers!
kate I hope you get a chance to recover and rest while the boys are at school. DH is doing my school run this evening.
harris,
Morning all.
Grey start in Kent, hopefully we will see the sun later.
Blood test this morning after I've dropped DH at a job. Not unusal to queue for 45-60 mins at the Hospital.
Have a good day everyone.
Good morning, overcast here too.
DD is fifty today but sadly won't get to see her as she lives abroad. DH and I are going out for lunch and will raise a glass to her.
My condolences to you Harris27.
Good morning all from a breezy Glasgow.
Harris, my condolences, I went through the same with my mother, Alzheimers is indeed a terrible condition, you must be exhausted. Although I was sad, I felt that she was at peace at last.
NanaKate, I can empathise with you. Your poor wee grandson must be exhausted with the coughing.
My three children and myself and now my wee grandadughter are all asthmatics and from reading what you have described, I wondered if it would be wise to take your wee grandson to the doctor, especially if there is no improvemnt and he is not responding to the inhalers. Asthma attacks can be very distressing.
Remember, Kate, you also need to look after yourself too.
I'm off out to lunch today with my ex colleagues, where we will talk for Scotland and set the world to rights!
I have held off telling them by text that another ex colleague has terminal cancer, diagnosed only a few weeks ago. However, she is failing fast, so I must update them.
Have a good day, all.
Good morning, Michael and all GNs. A bit dreary at the mo in South Yorkshire but I think it will brighten. Not sure what is on the agenda. Harris? so sorry to hear about your mother. Take it easy everyone.
Good morning from a grey skied Colchester.
DGS2 is here again, still spotty but much chirpier than yesterday. Will leave him with DH for a couple of hours while I go to Wednesday meetup in town....dreading the chaos I will return to.
Big hugs to all who need it especially Harris xx
Good morning from a chilly, grey Aberdeenshire.
The wee car was collected yesterday and the driver was about 25 stone...talk about a quart in a pint pot!
The mutt and I are off to the woods again this morning...he does like to meet and have a romp with all his new pals. Then home via the fish shop as he loves a bit of crispy fish skin in his dinner. I hate it, yukk. We are so lucky to get super fresh fish...it only comes 16 miles from Peterhead and was probably swimming in the North Sea yesterday. Beats supermarket rubbish any time.
Have a good day everyone.
Morning all from a slightly dull South Notts. Off to town in a couple of hours for a few bits and pieces. Hope all is well.
Harris
Hope you get plenty zzzzz NanKate
