And a good morning to you....yes, an icy start...-3 on the car therm.... Dropped son off to work earlier as he has a motorbike so these last few days not been good for bike riders.....not doing a great deal today...

Good morning all from a dark and icy Aberdeenshire. It's too dark to see out and even the crows aren't up yet but a couple of pheasants are shouting at each other.
Am planning to attack some unfinished quilt projects today.
Great rugby yesterday...well done Scotland but not so good for Ireland.

Good morning from Glamorgan coast. Just looked out and the cars are thick with frost. The Exmoor hills opposite us were covered in snow yesterday.
Will cook a roast chicken later for DD, DS and DiL otherwise a quiet day catching up on some neglected chores.

Good morning all the early risers. It's -1 here in Glasgow, but no frost on the cars. I'm out early this morning, so that is a bonus after the last few mornings of scraping the cars.

We were at War Horse in the Armadillo last night, a gift from our son and his partner. It was magnificant, far surpassed my expectations.
We had parked on the other side of the River Clyde and walked across the Bell's Bridge, the views were stunning.
The coloured lights of the Squinty Bridge, the BBC building and the Hydro were reflecting off the frozen surface of the river. I could have stood all night looking at the view, but it was perishing!
To the left of the picture is the Finneston Crane, my son did a bungee jump for charity off that, I'm so glad I didn't know how high it was at the time.?

Good morning Micheal, Anniebach and everyone from a cold and frosty Birmingham. The skies are clear, with a lovely golden glow in the east. Marydoll, that’s a beautiful picture, I do like cityscapes. Must visit Glasgow again soon.
After a busy day yesterday I have a free day today- no hospital, no visitors. I ‘ll get on with my Italian homework, and I may go and buy a chicken to roast.

Cold and dark still, here on the south coast but we are promised milder conditions from today and in the coming week. Thank goodness. I hate being cold.

Another quiet day planned but things have a way of cropping up.

Hope the day is kind to us all.

Very cold here in Cumbria. In bed with a cuppa still. Church this morning and other than that pottering at home. We were due to have visitors this weekend but they had to cancel due to the roads.

Hello everyone. Another bright frosty morning in Northampton. Feels so cold that I've put the fire on and have a nice cup of tea and a plain chocolate digestive!

Going out for lunch with DS and family today, just a 5 minute walk to the pub on the corner; they do a very good carvery.

Then back to sit by the fire again.

Morning Michael, Annie and all from a very cold Berks. The sun is shining but just heard a neighbour drive her car away and it sounded very crunchy. We are off to Church later, fingers crossed, I missed last week, so will be glad to go this morning.
All those roast chickens sound good for lunch time.
Our DD and SIL took their camper van away for the weekend, and according to her, were not the only mad ones in their tin tents!

Good morning all from the very cold, snowy and frosty Pennines. The sky is beautiful though, the sun is getting through. Hope it thaws a bit underfoot otherwise it will be another "skiing" demonstration holding on to my dog while we go for a walk.

Morning Mac, morning All from a cold, frosty corner of Somerset. Blue sky at the moment, cloud due later. Bit of tidying before some of the family come for a roast, beef for them, chicken for me. Best get a wriggle on. Hope Sunday is kind to everyone.

I was just standing staring at the lovely sunrise earlier this morning while having my cup of tea, it was beautiful. Cold but doesn't appear to be as bitter as it was although there was still frost about.

Just looking at a host of finches all chattering on a tree. There are dozens of them.These tiny birds have taken over from the sparrows that once were.

Lovely sights without moving anywhere. Ah well, must shower and liven myself up.

Good morning all, from our frosty valley. We have a beautiful pink and blue sky with sunshine on the way. Perhaps we will clear and store the wood from our poor cut-down tree, but we will see. Something warming for supper - Lancashire hotpot? Enjoy your day.
