No idea Flora but for me that's nothing new, I don't understand a lot of things these days . There will be others who do know.

The term shade is used as a modern word for sly if I am correct so epic shade must mean being sly in a huge way I would imagine.(thats if I am correct with my meaning of the word)

There's a really funny sketch about 'woke' somewhere - it could be Tracey Ullman but not sure - it means as notanan2 says. The DM online uses 'throw shade' - I think that comes from the US and means publicly insulting someone.

Yup. People who self describe as "woke" bark "get woke" at people who question or disagree with them rather than forming a cohesive reply or arguments.

I find phrases like that suddenly appear and, once they have been spoken they spread like wildfire. No doubt the phrase will be used so often during future Brexit discussions that we will all be sick of hearing it. And eventually it will go out of fashion. Mind you, still waiting for 'kicking the can down the road' to vanish. DH and i groan every time we hear it.
