An Australian magazine has published an article saying that Charles and Camilla are about to announce their divorce. Apparently they haven’t been seen together for sometime.
Speculation or not?

We do see the married royals together, we can’t say the same about Carbon and the present Mrs Corbyn

henetha Sun 13-Jan-19 10:13:14

I think it highly unlikely. I hope they live happily together for many more years yet.

I think they are one of the strongest best matched couples in the public eye so I won't believe it until it happens

Then again I find its the "best" couples (from the outside) that tend to surprise us all by splitting

Charles and Camilla have been in Scotland this past week opening the re-vamped Fife Arms Hotel in Braemar. They seem pretty much together to me!

Anniebach Sun 13-Jan-19 10:31:36

The press and media don’t bother to photograph them or follow them when they make public appearances,

DotMH1901 Sun 13-Jan-19 10:38:16

The US and other non-UK press run loads of these kind of stories constantly - the Queen hates Kate/Meghan/Camilla, Kate hates Meghan/ Kate has had children with Harry/Camilla has done 'something' and the Queen has told Charles to divorce her/Harry is about to divorce Meghan etc etc. Honestly, they really must be short of news some of the stories they publish.

No-one knows about the inside of anyone else's personal life - I always suspected that, at the end of the day, Charles' first marriage was a disaster bound to happen for so many reasons, but Diana was always meant to be a royal brood mare and after she'd produced the "heir and spare", she could do whatever she liked - all that was expected was for her to be discreet, something she was completely unable to do. Charles and Camilla are perfectly matched, have genuinely loved one another for so long that they deserve happiness and she is so supportive, seems to make him happy and all the photos I've seen look like they're as much in love as they've ever been. Typical media rubbish! They're about as likely to split as Liz and Phil!

They are happy together
You can sense as well.as see it

Cheap news to be ignored

ToadsMum Sun 13-Jan-19 10:55:34

Didn’t anyone listen to HRH on Private Passions on Radio 3? Fairly obvious his wedding day to Camilla was one of his happiest. Not condoning events of 30-40 years ago, they should have wed in the 1970s.

knspol Sun 13-Jan-19 11:06:25

When I lived abroad I saw all sorts of incredible headlines re the royals and their affairs and secret love childs etc etc total nonsense but apparently it sold magazines.

Anniebach Sun 13-Jan-19 11:20:44

I disagree with ‘after Diana produced a heir and a spare she could what she liked as long as she was discreet’

Diana was to be queen consort , a role she wanted but didn’t want to be in the background as Phillip did and now Camilla accept.

Poor things - whether or not it's true can none of the royal family be allowed to keep their private lives private until they choose otherwise

Blinko Sun 13-Jan-19 11:30:46

The press and media don’t bother to photograph them or follow them when they make public appearances

If there was any hint of a split, you can bet your bottom dollar the press would be round them like hornets. Remember Diana...

Anniebach Sun 13-Jan-19 11:52:21

The press are too busy with Megan mania, same happened with Anne and Diana, Anne carried on with her official duties whilst the press were busy with Diana mania. It is happening again with Kate, she has carried on with her official duties but Megan mania hits the news, latest is Megan is having a yoga studio built in Frogmore

Blinko Sun 13-Jan-19 11:54:36

I could just do with a yoga studio, come to think of it...

Who is Princess Mary?

merlotgran Sun 13-Jan-19 12:18:45

Meghan seems to be getting through staff at a rate of knots. Her female security officer is now reported to be quitting.

Yes. Who is Princess Mary?

JudiDrench Sun 13-Jan-19 12:19:44

There hasn't been a Princess Mary for some time.

Tweedle24 Sun 13-Jan-19 12:24:56

I would be very sorry if it were to happen. They seem so settled together and, if they are having problems (which I doubt): I would wish the press to leave them alone.

I often think that press interference into private lives does the relationship a good deal of damage.

dragonfly46 Sun 13-Jan-19 12:25:52

I met Princess Mary in Dulwich Park once when I was a little girl. She was the Princess Royal and Countess of Harewood. A good Yorkshire girl!

sodapop Sun 13-Jan-19 12:34:41

I don't believe it either. They look so happy together, Camilla often takes a gentle swipe at Charles ( figuratively speaking ) and I think keeps him more grounded. Australian press has a history of getting things wrong as someone else said.

Frannytoo Sun 13-Jan-19 12:42:56

I am sure it is just a gimmick to sell and rag. They look very happy together.

sarahellenwhitney Sun 13-Jan-19 12:48:00

I believe Camilla has been out of circulation for some time alleged ? to be suffering a cold and those of us in our twilight years know what a cold can do to us.
As one of the old school, that believes 'all things take place by necessity' myself and several colleagues wonder whether Camilla will be able to take on responsibilities expected of her when she and Charles are on the throne.
Her Majesty does not appear to be in a hurry to pass on the reins.

Blinko Sun 13-Jan-19 12:49:54

Re Princess Mary, I think I read ages ago on another thread that an Australian named Mary had married a European Crown Prince. Can't recall of where.... I think that may be who they're thinking of, rather than Princess Mary (of Teck?)

EllanVannin Sun 13-Jan-19 12:55:15

Is this the Princess Mary of Denmark ? The Scotswoman ?
