i'd like to change my decision last thursday night when driving home from my son's.
i turned left at a junction when my daughter said it was the best way to go. i would have turned right and really wish i had.
going left led to a very unfamiliar road and i then apparently took a wrong turn (daughter says she told me to go left again but, if she did, i didn't hear her).
i ended up skidding on a patch of mud - fortunately only travelling at 25 mph - and straight into a tree!
i've cracked my sternum (so painful) and my eldest grandaughter has a soft tissue injury at first thought to be her hip but now settled in the small of her back.
the car, my pride and joy, is a write off and my daughter blames me entirely.
fortunately my daughter and second grandaughter are ok although traumatised and shaken.
i'm now faced with weeks of pain and having to find another car somehow (limited budget and i have no idea how much i'll get for my car). i've also lost my independence again - regained in september after a knee replacement op.
all in all 2018 has been a year filled with pain and stress and i'm so glad it's ending tonight.
hopefully 2019 will be better!
happy new year to all gransnetters.
