New Year’s Eve zzzzzzzz

we always spend Hogmanay with family and friends ,some years in a hotel this year at our home .There should be about 20 of us ..maybe more including the GC who all love to stay up and see the New Year in.I cant imagine ever going to bed before midnight ANY night of the year never mind on Hogmanay.
Everyone will stay here and they'll all have atraditional New Years day dinner before heading home .

A NYD lunch sounds much better than staying up till 12.00. We used to have some real humdinger celebrations when we lived in Navy married quarters. Not the same in civvy street. Now much prefer NYD, go for an early morning walk whilst others are nursing sore heads.

Can’t wait to see the back of 2018, we’ve had an awful year so this NYE we are going all out. All the children and grandchildren are coming over to cook and have a murder mystery evening. Just hope I can stay awake! I’m hoping that a nice NY day walk will help us to re focus for the coming year.

I always prefer NYE to Christmas and remember some very good parties over the years. Now we enjoy a good meal at home just the 2 of us then trot to the local for the bells. Always a good atmosphere here on NYE. Just wish we didnt have to do all that kissing of strangers who suddenly become best friends for one minute. Then we trot home again. We might go to this pub twice or 3 times in a year so dont know anyone at all.
