Then I trust your fellow colleagues are only too happy for you to raise the sadness your colleague is going through in a way that fits your ego in your posting on gransnet. .

If you show them this then all I can offer is perhaps try going to the pub to raise all of your spirits it might be more beneficial than seeing humour in your posts back at the office but I guess it takes all sorts.

Merry Xmas to your colleagues who have become part and parcel of gransnet by your repeated mention of them on your posts.

MawBroon A simple matter of wondering who Hellsgrandad is , if he isn't Grandad 1943, and putting the name into the GN search engine. He has posted cheerfully several times, going back as least a year, on various subjects (and usually posts about 4 or 5 lines of text)

I now have some sympathy for Granddad1943, posts epistles about unions, show them to his office staff , they roar with laughter, he glows in their admiration , is paying their wages, and doesn’t realise when they are reading GN, then having a laugh - they are not working

I, too, felt very uncomfortable about Grandad's colleague having her illness posted on GN and perhaps all over the internet for all to see.

Whoever she is, I do hope she makes a full recovery, best wishes to her.

Jalima1108, your above post is nothing but total rubbish. You and others commenting as like do not know me; are not aware of the company name, do not personally know my work colleague, others that work alongside her or any other details or facts.

The recent posts in this thread are nothing but an attempt to produce a cover for the outright misandry that has been practised in posts in this thread and also in others of the past were cover is always attempted under the guise of being humour.

However, as we found in the office yesterday, those that post in such fashion become targets of laughter in themselves, and rightly so.

Fortunately, as I have already stated we do not know who these male Partners and husbands are due to the anonymous nature the internet when required. That stated, as several of the females in the office said yesterday on reading the posts, how could anyone claim to love their partner or husband and then hold them up for such ridicule, even if it is anonymous.

I also have no doubts that if a man was to I open a thread on this forum and post such misogyny against his wife, partner or any women, the heavens of this forum would open up in condemnation and again rightfully so.

There are those on this forum that should at least attempt to join the standards of the modern world as it has moved on.
