I found the German advert quite interesting as a non-German as it plays on social norms, friendship in spite of differences etc.
I did realise the Albrecht brothers had been in conflict and noticed yesterday when I looked for the Kevin toys on the websites that I had to look separately for north and south.
That the two men in the advert were like chalk and cheese - in the light of your comments is also interesting. As a Christmas advert, maybe it’s an attempt to imply that it’s a time to put differences aside? ... or is that too subtle?
How fascinating. I wonder if the German press have picked up on this joint advert?
