Yesterday, on the way to a group, I was walking through some little streets. Suddenly I saw a coat in a shop window. Reader I bought it!! (apologies Charlotte Bronte). I really don't do that sort of thing. I went in, tried it on and heard myself say 'I'll take it'.
I've never bought a coat before and live in anoraks and jackets. This new item is a long bright red coat. I look like an elderly grenadier guard in it. I just need a bearskin and a black horse to carry it off as an outfit.
Today. Do I regret it? Not really although I'll never actually wear it.
Mind you, previous impulse buys have always been a success. Maybe I should let my subconscious do the shopping more often? How about you others?

What is our role as older people?
Just a rant about GP surgery - sorry
